integrate Ovid bibliographic databases and non-Ovid full text

Building Ovid OpenLinks

Displaying the LinkOvid uses the record’s ISSN and publication year to determine whether to display a link for the record.

The ISSN, and source field data—such as volume number and initial page number—are parsed from the record.

Link elements are filtered, reformatted and translated as specified for the target server.

The link URL is created and is ready to be sent to the target server.

based searches:– Targets must support queries of journal identifiers

+ source metadata (such as volume and page #)

– Targets should support immediate display of full text (or displays from which full text can be accessed)

Link definition process requires registration of site’s subscription information
