Book of Remembrance—A special Book of Remembrance will be in the church for the month of November. Please pause to read the names in the book, pray for them and add the names of your loved ones whom you would like to remember. We will pray for all those named in the book at each of the Masses during November.

Lord Jesus Christ, we continue to need your support in order to grow our faith. Renew within us the faith, the

hope and the charity. Stimulate our attentiveness toward others. Invite us to continuously transform our hearts.

Lord, the world needs your light, your kindness and your love. You send us to bear witness to your kindness

and mercy. Lord, accompany us in our mission; work with us and confirm your Word through the signs that

come from you. In your name, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

Cluster Parish Council 2018/19 — Please check out our bulletin board and see who your parish repre-sentatives are. If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns about parish life please speak with one of our council members who can bring your ideas to the table.

Food boxes are packed according to family size and contain at least one week’s worth of food as well as Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings. We serve all of Lambton County (Sarnia has their own program). County volunteer fire departments assist in deliveries. 2017 over 400 families were served delivered by 13 fire departments! We look forward to making this Christmas festive for all in our community. Gift depot location as of November 5, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 5:00, at 4156 Petrolia Line, Petrolia at rear of building. All gifts must arrive by December 3, for wrapping and packing. Please, no clothing. Gift cards are a wonderful idea for the older children. VOLUNTEERS are crucial and needed for December 16—19. Please plan to attend the St. Christopher Fall Bazaar, Sunday, November 3, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm—lots of PIES! Baked goods, crafts, and luncheon. This is a fundraiser for your parish, don’t miss it. If you have items to donate for the bazaar please bring to the table at the back of the hall. Also, pie baking day is Thursday, November 1, please come to the church at 10 am if you wish to help out. Corrie Degroot is organizing.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with serving and cleaning up at the luncheon, if you are available the day of the bazaar to help out, male or female, Please speak with Monica Whelan.

St. James Forest invites you for a morning of fun driving Lambton County in a car rally, Saturday, October 27. Meet at St. James at 10 am to register —$5 per person, lunch included. All are welcome.

Grocery Cards are available at St. Christopher’s after Mass and during office hours. These cards are for any IGA, Foodland or Price Chopper. Available in $100 amounts—with each card sold $5.00 is earned for the church and school programs. Doing the math, if 100 households (should be easy between the church and school) each spent $100 over the course of a week on groceries using our $100 card, the church and school would receive $500.00! Or $24,000.00 per year!!! This is easy fundraising as it costs you nothing, its just a different way to pay for your groceries. Lets see if we can increase our sales on these.

The St. Vincent de Paul Recycling Group would like to send a special thank you to all who generously donated goods for the Fall Warehouse Open House and Sale on Saturday, October 13. Also, a thank you to those who came out to see the warehouse and purchase goods in support of the Tradeship Scholarship Fund. All things are possible when people work together. God Bless, Your Recycling Group

Life Teen, A Catholic youth group that leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Friday's - St. Patrick's High School - 7:00-8:30pm. Open to all high school students. No cost. Come out and learn more about your Catholic faith in a fun and engaging way.

A BIG thank you to Trish Anderson for coordinating and hosting an enjoyable social evening making

signs — while not a fundraiser because so many attended a nice donation was made to the church as well!

Check out her next project on the bulletin board and website, “I Am Unique” an evening for our youth.

THANKS GIVING APPEAL

A letter has been mailed and donation envelope for each parish to all of our registered

families. All donations for this appeal stay within the parish. OLHC has set a goal of

$35,000.00, and will have door to door canvassers on Sunday, October 28.

This year we are also running a campaign for St. Christopher parish as we did not

have our golf tournament this year, which is a large fundraiser, and are struggling to

meet our current operating costs.

Please consider if you are able to make an extra donation to this Appeal. We are very

grateful for the support you regularly give to our parish.

Catholic Women’s League DUES are now due! St. Christopher CWL, while not active, will still pay dues to the National office and your membership continued.
