TDMI TRAINING is registered providers for Unit Standards: Test, Inspect and Certify with EWSeta.

After successful completion of the assessment, you will receive documentary proof of successful completed unit standards of inspection, testing and certification of the relevant assessment as required by the Energy Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA).

Department of Labour Accreditation, as determined by the EWSETA, requires ensuring competence for assessments above. Documentary proof of your process and documents used by you to inspect, test and certify any of the above type of electrical installation is a prerequisite for assessment process.

Assessment criteria

• The assessment for competence as required will be conducted after you have collected all evidence. The assessment process will include: –

☑ Evaluation of previous coached or self-inspection and testing tests conducted by you.

☑ A knowledge evaluation of applicable codes or standards. ☑ An onsite assessment to establish competence in inspection and testing and evidence recording. ☑ All re-assessments will be at no cost – excluding accommodation and meals ☑ Deposit of R1500 required to SECURE booking. Balance payable on day of course. ☑ Cancellation: Deposit not refundable when cancelled. ☑ The completion of the supporting documentation of on-site assessment. ☑ Completion of a Certificate of Compliance. ☑ Feedback and certification and EWSETA communication.

The purpose of this Unit standards is to equip delegates with knowledge, skills and information to interpret standards and legislation, and to be able to conduct and record detail during verification and certification of electric fence installations.

TDMI Training provide material to help student prepare for Installation rules P1 and P2 exam. This material will

help student prepare for the exams but self-study for this exam is crucial. Input equals output.

Refreshment courses will be conducted together with our UNIT STANDARD: Test, Inspect and Certify course, where students will be guided through process of issuing of CoC and taught new legislation around every aspect of the Inspection and Verification of Installation and issuing of CoC. After completion of the refreshment course, you will receive attendance letter of successful completed unit standards of inspection, testing and certification of the course. As for this is only a refreshment course, POE file and other documents will not be requested, and documents will not be sent to EWSeta for Statement of Results. This course and cost of Unit standards is only for students who need to do a Refreshment on CoC.

EARTHING & LIGHTNING PROTECTION: Course

Lightning can have a devastating effect on power supply assets, damaging buildings, power structures, communications and other essential equipment - yet this damage can be easily, and cost-effectively, avoided. This course is designed to share that knowledge and expertise, to help you avoid the costly and potentially catastrophic consequences of a lightning strike. The course covers everything from the basics of lightning and its effects, to the use of risk assessment in the formulation of protection strategies.
