Our Mission: To inspire and support all Sandy Springs public school students to graduate and pursue productive lives beyond high school by providing educational and enrichment programs through community collaboration. One out of five children in Sandy Springs is living in a household where no one finished high school and everyone lives in poverty. Every 26 seconds during the school year in the US, a child drops out of school. While Georgia’s graduation rate is at an “all-time” high, the state’s dropout rate is significantly above the national average. Seven out of ten inmates in Georgia’s state prisons lack a high school diploma or GED, costing our state nearly $800 million each year. Education is a primary key to a child’s future success! o However, our Sandy Springs public school students need additional resources and support. o And, our children need ALL OF US to inspire, encourage and prepare them to become productive adults. Mentor, tutor or volunteer: read to a child, help a student decide a career path or fill out a college application, teach an after-school avocation - Our kids need your experience! Share your wisdom: Speak to students about your business or profession, offer an internship and help young people plan their career paths - Our kids need your expertise!
