To help the thirsty in Guatemala through the “Pura Vida” water filtration program. To help the homeless of Medina County through Operation HOMES. To help clothe families in our area through Marian’s Closet. To help the addicted in our community through the Wadsworth Recovery Connection (WRC+) To help the victims of human trafficking through the East Ohio Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM). The Hospitality Ministry is really easy! Just come a few minutes early to greet our friends in Christ at the door and say a simple “welcome”. There is a need for greeters at all three services. The commitment is just one Sunday a month before one of the services. It is important to have someone at each door to help visitors find their way. If you can help please contact Merry Kostko ([email protected] or 330.414.8738). Adopt a Kettle! The Salvation Army depends on the kindness of people like you to help man their kettles during the Christmas season. The money raised provides support and relief to those in need in our community. This is a great mission for your group or sign up as an individual. See the flier on the bulletin board in the upper lobby for details and call Jeanne at 330-335-2327 to schedule a time to help. UMCOR Update Donations given to our church for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to help those affected by the recent hurricanes amounted to $4,785. The Missions Committee added another $4,000 to that for a total contribution of $8,785 from our church. Thank you for your generous giving!

Pumpkin Cafe Mark the date and get ready for some yummy treats! The children will be selling baked items and holding a coffee and hot chocolate bar on Sunday, October 8, from 10:30 to noon in fellowship hall. Stay and enjoy a slice of apple pie and take a dozen cookies home! A Change Your World event.

Craft Show - October 29 - Noon - 4pm If crafting is your talent, sign-up to sell at this show in fellowship hall! There is a sign-up sheet in upper lobby. All others, come to buy!

Talent Show - November 4 - Evening Is performing your talent? We would love all types of performances from all age groups to take part. Start practicing and mark your calendars for a fun night in fellowship hall! More details to come.

Acolyte Training Attention all 3rd graders, acolyte training is Saturday, October 7 from 9:30-10:30am in the sanctuary. Please let Mrs. Herr know if you will be joining us!

Cider and Apples for Sale Fresh-pressed cider from apples on Virgil Mochel’s farm is available for purchase today in the main (west) parking lot of the church. One gallon jugs are available for $5 each throughout the morning. Bagged apples (many varieties) will also be sold. See the display in the upper lobby and be sure to buy yours early, straight from Virgil’s pickup truck. This is a Change Your World event.

Paint N Sip Make an awesome Christmas decoration while enjoying some tea or cider. Julie Vandersommers is leading this Change Your World event on Sunday, October 15, from 2-4pm in fellowship hall. The cost is $15 and includes a wood pallet, stain, paint and beverages. You must register and pay in the upper lobby by October 8.

Bread Baking Class Does making bread from scratch intimidate you? Take Mark Gallagher’s class and learn to make bread and cinnamon rolls with others in the church kitchen and take home what you bake! Saturday, October 14, from 9am-1pm. Cost is $20. RSVP: [email protected].

Christmas Cantata Rehearsal Our church is hosting the Community Candlelight Walk Christmas Cantata on Saturday, November 18, at 7pm. The first rehearsal of six is today from 4-5pm in the sanctuary. Please consider being a part; we are trying to make this a community tradition and everyone is welcome.

The Wadsworth Community Choir will begin its fall session this Monday, October 2, in the Wadsworth Middle School choir room from 7-8:30pm. The Christmas concert will be on December 3 at 2pm in O.J. Work. Anyone is welcome.

It’s Tea Time Experience an authentic English tea with traditional English sandwiches and pastries on Sunday, October 22, at 1:30pm in fellowship hall. Only 15 spots available! Cost is $30. RSVP to Valerie Mills (330.414.6828, [email protected])
