Please schedule at least ONE YEAR in advance of your wedding. Pre-Cana and other
instruction sessions are required.

Baptisms
We request parents attend a Baptism Instruction Session before the birth of their
child. The Sacrament of Baptism is usually celebrated the third Sunday of each
month, except during Lent (when we will not celebrate the sacrament until Easter).
All Baptisms are scheduled in person at the rectory.
Parish Membership
All are welcome to join our Parish Family. Parish policy requires registration to
participate in Baptism, Marriage and Religion Classes. Please notify the office when
a change of address or move occurs.

Baptism Preparation
If you are expectant parents, please
arrange to attend our Baptismal In-
struction Program before the birth of
your child. Baptismal Instruction and
Baptisms must be scheduled in per-
son, at the rectory. The next Baptis-
mal Instruction Course is Sunday,
January 10 at 2 p.m. The next Bap-
tism is scheduled for Sunday, Janu-
ary 17 at 2 p.m. Please visit our website to read

Meetings are held the second Monday of each
month at 1 p.m. in the Parish Hall. If you would

Our next meeting will be in the
Church on Monday, Novem-
ber 9 at 7 p.m. All women of
our parish are welcome to join.
Knights of Columbus

group meets the first and third Tuesday of the
month at 8 p.m. The next meeting is
November 17.

Our crafters will be taking a break during the
months of December and January.

Our Parish Bereavement Support Group will meet
on Wednesday, November 11 from 7:30 p.m.-9
p.m. in the Parish Hall. Our Support Group is open
to anyone (parishioner or non-parishioner) who has
suffered the loss of a friend, relative or a loved one.
There is no charge and reservations are not re-
quired. All you need is an open mind and an open
heart. Let us try to help you through this time of
grief.
Thank You
We want to thank those who supported the Annual
Appeal this year. If you have not had a chance to
finalize your appeal, but still want to take ad-
vantage of your tax write-off for this year, please do
so before December 31, 2015.
Upcoming Events at OLMC
~In preparation for the Feast of the Immaculate
Conception, we will have a Triduum of three Mon-
day evenings of prayer as we bring back the Miracu-
lous Medal Novena. The Triduum will begin on
Monday evening, November 23 at 7:30 p.m.

again have the blessing
and distribution of bread
to be shared at your family Thanksgiving meal.
~On Tuesday, December 8, we will have a Eucha-
ristic Day with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
all day from the end of the 8 a.m. Mass to 6:30
p.m. when we will have Benediction.

Food Pantry
Many people only donate to food pantries at holiday
times, but we want to thank you, for being so con-
sistent all year round, with your generous giving.
No matter what time of the year it may be, you have
never stopped sharing with those less fortunate. We
thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Donations
to our Food Pantry consist of non-perishable foods:
such as soups, sauces, pasta, rice, cereals, dry milk,
canned vegetables, as well as toiletries (toothpaste,
toothbrushes, soap, etc.) Please check expiration
dates before donating food. If the food is out of date,
kindly discard.
Religious Education
~Although classes have begun, you
may still register your child, but
you need to do it ASAP.

es this month (too many to men-

Comedy Night at GSA
Good Shepherd Academy’s JJ Comedy Night will
take place on Saturday, November 14. Doors open
at 6:45 p.m. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets
are $30 and include light refreshments and the
show. Food is tailgate style. To purchase tickets, or

adults only event.
Giving Tree Beginning the weekend of November
28/29, OLMC’s Giving Tree will invite
you to take one of its stars and buy a
gift for a needy child, baby, teen, man or
woman. Please wrap the gift and place
the star on the outside of the package
and place it under the tree. Collection
of gifts will end on Sunday, December
13. If you are a member of a family in
need, or know of a family that is having
a difficult time this holiday season,
please call the rectory and let us know.
We will do our best to collect gifts that
can help them through a very trying
time. All calls and information will re-
main confidential. Thank you for your
generous support.
Nutley Thanksgiving Service
The Nutley Community Ecumeni-
cal Thanksgiving Service will be
held on Monday evening, No-
vember 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Vin-
cent United Methodist Church lo-
cated at 100 Vincent Place in Nut-
ley. Rev. Kristen Engstrom of Holy Trinity Luther-
an Church will be preaching, area clergy will partici-
pate, there will be the blowing of the shofar, a Nut-
ley Congregations Choir will sing, and the Vincent
Church Wesley Ringers will play. The evening’s of-
fering will go to the Care Kitchen, which serves a
hot meal 3-4 Saturdays a month to those in need in
the Nutley area at Vincent Church through the
work of several congregations. The Nutley Clergy
Fellowship cordially invites the entire community to
join them in lifting thanksgiving to God for our
many blessings.
Wreath Sale Dec. 5/6 Let us help you decorate! The
weekend of December 5/6 we’ll be
selling beautiful fresh wreaths
that will stay fresh through the
holidays! From 4-6:30 p.m. on
Saturday, and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. –1:30
p.m., Sister Mary Rose and her elves will be outside
spreading Christmas Cheer! Each wreath is $20. Pro-
ceeds benefit the OLMC Religious Ed. Program.

Autumn Bus Ride to AC
The Women’s Auxiliary is
hosting another fun-filled bus
ride to Caesars in Atlantic
city on Wednesday, Novem-
ber 18. The fare is $25. In
return, guests will receive a
$20 voucher from the casino. The bus will depart
from the Church on Prospect St. at 9 a.m. Please
