Kia ora Whanau ma, Thank you to all of our families who have supported our book fair over the last week and of course ‘Book Character Day’ last Wednesday. The children have enjoyed all of the different activities and certainly have extended their knowledge of books and book characters. A love of reading is something that can stay with you for life and I hope that the last week has helped our children develop this even more. Thank you to all of the families who completed the Health survey during the last two weeks. This is a great help to us as it guides us as we set the direction and content of our Health teaching. We are currently analysing the results and we will share these with you at the start of term 4. Tomorrow is parent teacher interviews for a number of our children. If you have a child in Year 4-6 and would like an interview please contact the office or your child’s teacher. Parents of children in Year 1-3 will have been contacted individually by their child’s teacher if they are due an interview. Yesterday Mr Day & Mrs Paku took the winners of ‘The Quest’, which was part of maths week earlier in the term, out to lunch. They had a great time and enjoyed choosing some tasty treats for lunch. Well done to all of our winners. This week the Kildare Syndicate have been learning from Chanel College PE students. The Chanel students have been coaching rugby league skills and next Wednesday they will all take part in a fun tournament against other schools at Chanel. Let’s hope that the fine weather continues into next week for this event. A reminder to all parents /caregivers of Year 6 children that the permission slips for children to be involved in the Health lessons on the topic of Puberty need to be returned by Friday. The lessons will be taking place in class next week. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions. Kia ora Whanau ma,

Thank you to all of our families who have supported our book fair over the last week and of course ‘Book Character Day’ last Wednesday.

Mr Magee & The Biting Flea The Brigidine teachers have booked the syndicate to attend the above show at the Carterton Events Centre on Friday November 7th at 11.30am. This is a Capital E production and their shows are always top quality entertainment for the young ones (and the adults who go!). We are able charge each child $5 with the remainder of the $9 being met by a cake stall which will be held in Week 2 Term 4 and a very generous donation of $150 from the PTA. THANKYOU! The seats we have booked are for the students and adult helpers. If you want to be an adult helper but would also like your preschooler to attend let me know and we will try to get extra seats.
