SCHOOL CAN BE SCARY CHAPTER 1 Fan Fiction by JackalGod

From FanFiction.net Fiction Rated: T - English - General - Chapters: 4 - Words: 5958 - Reviews: 15 - Updated: 8-4-05 - Published: 5-17-05

“School today! School today!” cried a happy blond boy with large brown bouncing his way through the school corridors. It was his very first day of school and he was very excited. He was so happy he wasn’t paying attention where he was going and crashed into another boy who was coming around the corner.

“Ouch!” cried the blond rubbing his head “That hurt.”

“That’s nothing compared to what I’m going to do to you.” Yelled the other boy picking the blond up by the collar

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you.” Said the blond, now chibi, flailing his arms wildly. The boy raised his fist to hit the trembling chibi when a cold voice made him freeze

“Let him go!” both turned to see a boy with brown spikes, blue eyes, and purple sunglasses. The boy dropped the chibi and ran for his life around the corridor.

“Arigato!” cried the chibi glomping his saviour “Arigato! Arigato! What’s your name Saviour-san?”

“You have got to be a new kid.” Said the brunette prying the chibi off his head and dropping him on the ground.

“Hai, I am. How could you tell.” asked the blond normal size again

“Cause everyone knows me. I’m the most dangerous kid in Sorryasski Junior High.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. My name’s Mido Ban. But everyone calls me Mido-sama.”

“Oh, my name is Amano Ginji. Everyone calls me Ginji although some of my old friends used to call me Raitei.” Said Ginji smiling brightly. Ban nodded just as the bell went

“What class are you in?”

“Class B.” replied Ginji still smiling

“So you’re in my class. Well come on them we’ve got Maths first.” Said Ban before heading off the down the hallway

“Cool. I can’t wait.” Said Ginji following closely behind

“Let me warn you. Of all the teachers here, three are real assholes. One of them is our Maths Teacher.” Said Ban as heopened the door to their classroom. The teacher was no-where in sight so Ban dragged Ginji to the back row where they sat down.

“Who’s our teacher?” asked Ginji leaning over

“Ohayou gozaimasu.” Came a smooth voice from the front of class. Some of the students, Ginji included, jumped at the sudden greeting. Ginji stood up slightly so he could see past the person in front of him’s head. Their teacher was dressed very crisply his longish black hair tied back in a neat ponytail. Their teacher looked around at the class his violet eyes held an unreadable emotion “I see some of you are still not used to my entrance. How nice. We have a new student. Could youplease come up to the front Amano Ginji-kun?”

“Hai, Sensei.” Said Ginji before bouncing up to the front

“Umm, Sensei?”

“Hai, Amano-kun?” drawled his teacher politely

“Umm, what’s your name?”

“Akabane-Sensei.” Replied the teacher smiling

“Hai, nice to meet you Akabane-Sensei.” Trilled Ginji grinning widely

“Now, Amano-kun. Why don’t you tell us a bit about yourself?”

“Hai. My name is Amano Ginji and I’ve just come here from Mugenjou. So yeah.”

“Very nice Amano-kun. You may sit down again.” Said Akabane

“Hai, Sensei.” Said Ginji and bounced back to his seat next to Ban.

“Now that, that is over we shall continue the class we started on Friday. First things first form a line up here and hand in you homework. If you haven’t done it and have a note give it to me. If you haven’t done it just because you didn’t want to come up here anyway.” Everyone quickly made a line except for Ginji who thought it was pointless for him to line seeing, as he hadn’t been given the homework. The line disappeared quite quickly but for some reason after seeing the teacher Ban didn’t go back and sit down

“I’m happy to see you all did your homework. With the exception of you Miso-kun. Why didn’t you do it?” asked Akabane his voice cold as steel

“Cause I didn’t feel like it. I had better things to do on the weekend than do your stupid homework sheets.” Snapped Ban hid hands in his pockets. Everyone in the class gasped. As defiant as Mido Ban was he’d never gone against Akabane since his first day when he got on the math teacher’s bad side

“Oh really?” drawled Akabane smiling at Ban questioningly “I take pride in the work I set and I don’t appreciate having my hard work made fun of. I think a detention is in order Mido-kun.” Any other kid would have started pleading for clean up duty at those words. It was a well-known fact that every kid who’d had a detention with Akabane was for some reason limping the next day. Ban however didn’t bat an eyelid

“Try me.” Everyone gasped again as Ban went back to his seat. Akabane smile widened, oh yes this year was going to be fun for him.

There is a Legend that tells of a Kingdom made completely of clouds. In this kingdom there are people who are able to create the clouds themselves. There are even some that can use the abilities of the clouds to fly. But this is only a legend. And now it is only a myth…but is it really? Sometimes I wonder why we even live in this city? But what does it matter? Everywhere you go the sky is covered with clouds. Only on rare occasions does the sun show us it’s beautiful light and fills us with warmth. The only good thing that I can say is that it doesn’t rain to often. Except for in the winter, but then I…. “KALEY”, someone shouts and Kaley turns from the window and stares at her instructor. “Pay attention! If you keep daydreaming like that you’ll never pass my class. Now, as I was saying, the equivalent of …” “Hey, Kaley, Where’d you go this time? The Ice Islands”, the girl snickers and laughs beneath her breath. Tira Montgomery is a pain, but a necessary evil in this world. Five more minutes and classes for today will be over. The school bell begins to ring surely and loudly, signifying the end of the school day. Books slam shut, papers rattle and shoes began to scuff the tiled school floor. “Hey, Kaley?” Kaley looks up at her friend, April. April is a tall girl with long brown curly hair. It’s so

curly that she wonders if April is ever able to use a comb at all. Her eyes are a gray-green, they change color according to her moods, and so at this moment they are gray. She’s happy about something and she’s smiling. “So, what are you doing today? I want to go to the mall. Or maybe to the museum to see the new artifact.” April’s energy began to rise as she kept talking about the artifact. As she talks I find it hard to believe that she’s so shy in class. She is so excited about this artifact, but today is Wednesday so… “April.” “Yeah. What’s up?” “I’m going to the beach today, so I can’t go with you to the mall or the museum.” Here it comes, the overwhelming sadness that enters into her eyes whenever we can’t hang out together. And it came as it always does. The smile slowly fades to something that only resembles a smile on the outside, but the essence is gone. Then the eyes, ever so gray when she’s happy, they slowly change shades from gray to a dark forest green with just slight touches of gray on the outer iris. To be continued….

This story has obviously nothing to do with anime. But the author wanted to get some opinions. So please fill out a comment form and drop it into the Otaku World Newsletter Jar above the DVDS in the Library.

Thanks!

ANIME FANFICTION “WHAT A FOOL”

(Samurai X) I was always known as Battousai the Man Slayer. Ever since I was I child I was raised to kill... My master had always told me to accept death, as there was no way to bring back the dead. It was much too common during the days of the Bakumatsu. Every time one died, I felt it. It was a horrible feeling, one as if everything was drain from my body. A small boy suffering from the loss of everyone else... He was the one that spared me from death. His name was Hiko Seijiro. I was an apprentice to the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu school and there I was renamed Kenshin. I was trained, killing only a few people and then what seemed to be countless others. I use to walk the streets alone. Nobody was out then. I was the fear of all people. Nothing else mattered. But then one night, as I killed someone that was already weak, they cut open the flesh on my cheek. I thought it was nothing at first. But every time I killed, it bleed. Soon, once again I had that feeling. But it was different. This one was the future of the people that I had destroyed. This was the feeling of the happiness I had torn from families. This was the feeling of the dead haunting me. I never could over come it. I tried to put all this behind me but it didn't work. Never in my life did I feel so sick. Never in my life did I feel so strongly that taking my own life was the right answer... Was killing really protecting others from harm? Or was it just creating more chaos? I never knew that answer. Soon I left my master and the mountain were my skills first came to me. The parting was simple yet confusing. All the memories of becoming a hitokiri confused me. Why did I do it in the first place? The mountain was at first my home of comfort. Then it was a home of confusion and thoughts. It brought back the words my master once told me: that the art of the sword is the art of murder. So, all this time I was just killing others. Once I was far away, I looked back at the trail where I once lived. Then it came back to me. As a younger child I was approached by a man of the name Katsura. His theory of a new era was a dead and disgusting one. He said that in order to bring in a new era, one must first destroy the old; and to do that, one may therefore need to kill others. I decided to join Katsura as a hitokiri to try and serve the greater good as he saw it. I had thought I was doing good. I was bringing change. What a fool young boys can be.

SOUJI EATS A WATERMELON Fan Fiction by Veleda Fiction Rated: K - English - Humor - Chapters: 1 - Words: 590 - Published: 8-2-05 The Shinsengumi compound was quiet; its rooms and courtyard uncharacteristically still. Hijikata noted the peace with satisfaction. The Choshu had been reserved lately, and the day was too hot for any but the most vigilant to be training. The true blessing, however, was that the Ichimura brat was gone. He was probably off with the fools who called themselves the “comedian trio,” or perhaps with Sannan. Where Ichimura was didn’t matter, as long Hijikata didn’t have to deal with him. Not even Hijikata’s annoyance at the boy for shirking his duties could ruin his appreciation for the peace and quiet. Yes, Hijikata though, it was the kind of day where he could indulge in just a bit of relaxation- maybe even write some poetry. He’d hidden his notebook in a new place, a better place, one where Souji wouldn’t find it. He didn’t want any repeats of that… incident. As Hijikata made his way through the yard, he heard the sound of someone eating. Messily. He turned a corner and found Souji wolfing down a huge watermelon, his clothes soaked with juice. His face and hands were sticky, and seeds littered the ground. The young man made an absolutely ridiculous sight. “Souji,” Hijikata said, irritated. “Do you have any idea how filthy you look?” Souji looked up at him as if he had only just noticed the Hijikata was there, which was ridiculous. Souji was far too perceptive for that. “I can’t help it, Hijikata-san.” Souji replied cheerfully. “Eating watermelon is a messy thing to do.” He grinned as Hijikata glared.
