CAMPAIGN

To treat animation creators and lovers, for the entire month of october we will be showing some of the most iconic Japanese animation films. “Otaku” in its contemporary use refer to fans of Japanese anime and manga. Animation conventions in Japan have spread to Amer-ica where visitors dress up in their favorite characters, much like halloween tradition, which makes october the perfect month for this culture clash and celebration of some of the best animation in the world!

DESIGN

To illustrate the cultural relationship of Japanese anime in october the title features two jack-o-lanterns replacing the ‘O’s, one traditional red representing the Japanese flag and the other orange symbolic of october’s seasonal color. The typefaces used: Gotham Rounded Bold and Hiragino Kaku Gothic Std compliment the vector illustration which are also meant to mimic Japanese package design.
