The next thing is to source for products to buy.
SOURCING FOR PRODUCTS & VERIFYING THE SELLERS These mini importation portals are organized like an organized market place where different sellers converge to display their various goods/products. It is therefore possible that you will find the same product on different stores with different prices. Ensure that you consider the following steps before purchasing products on these portals;

BUYER PROTECTION – ESCROW PAYMENT EXPLAINED You might have fears of being scammed, it is normal. However, certain policies have been put in place by these online mini-importation portals to ensure that buyers are protected and do not lose their money to sellers who sell sub-standard products or give you anything that is different from the product description on their store. What then does escrow mean? Is it another company of its own? No, not at all! Escrow simply means a third-party arrangement of trust that helps to protect both the buyer and seller. In simple terms, escrow payment is payment held in trust by a third-party (in this case, the owners of the mini importation portals) which is released to the seller after you have received your goods and certified them ok. Products here are sold for ridiculously cheaper prices than you would find on aliexpress.com. This does not imply that they are fake at all. They are highly qualitative products. The reason they are cheap is because it is basically for the Chinese community. As you know, China has a huge population and many cottage industries thereby resulting in a glut of products and therefore the massive low prices. www.1688.com is setup in Chinese language but you don’t have to worry about that at all in order to source for products. You’ll have to make use of a browser called “Google Chrome.” If you don’t have it, you’ll have to download it on your system. With this browser, you’ll be able to translate the site into English. See pictorial illustrations below.
