Orientation Session on TRIZ

October 15, 2019 on the occasion of the birthdays of Mr. Genrikh Altshuller – The Founder of TRIZ &

Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam – The missile man of India, TRIZ Association of Asia , with the support of Fleetguard

Filters Pvt Ltd, Filtrum , AISSMS College of Engineering & TRIZ Asia ( A strategic Partner of GENTRIZ LLC ,

Boston USA ) organized a 3hour orientation session on TRIZ for the like minded people who are focused

on Innovation & inclined towards Problem Solving.

The event witnessed about 30 participants from a mix of industries & academia. Few attendees were

novice to TRIZ.

The topics of discussion during the session were : Evaluation of the Effectiveness of TRIZ, Role of TRIZ in

IoT, Smart Manufacturing

Mr. P V Narayan – Director TRIZ Deployment of MATRIZ, in India

The session started with an Inauguration by P V Narayan. Narayan set the context right for the session

and also explained the audience the various application of TRIZ, role of MATRIZ & the various levels of

certifications.

Mr. Vaibhav Pathak – Head Operations, Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Pathak, being a firm believer in the TRIZ methodology, spoke a few words about the implementation

of TRIZ in their firm and, also set few expectations to be met from the session organized.

Dr. Sandeep Wankhade – Consultant, TRIZ Asia

The session started off with a electrifying presentation by Dr. Sandeep Wankhade who spoke about the

Efficacy of TRIZ. This presentation was based on the research done by Algorithm Ltd., St. Petersburg,

Russia, (a strategic partner of GEN TRIZ, Boston, USA ). It was an eye opener to understand that one of 4-

5 TRIZ projects yields into a launched product.*

Mr. Rohan Turior – Head IP, Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd.

IoT is the Buzz world in todays manufacturing industries. Rohan in his presentation explained how the

functional translation between, manufacturing companies & Enabling IT technology companies, helps

Identify and Connect the Right Problem with the Right Solution **

Mr. Shree Phadnis – CTO TRIZ Asia & Chairman TRIZ Association of Asia

The last topic of the session was on Smart Manufacturing, where Shree highlighted the point that, Smart

Manufacturing does not mean going Automatic / Going full-fledged with IoT. TRIZ has a different

perspective for being smart. He emphasized on the point that, smart manufacturing means making the

Process Robust, short & smart. He shared 2 case studies to support the definition of Smart. The case

studies were well appreciated.

The session was well accepted and all the participants were satisfied and thrilled with the strength of TRIZ

& its results. It was also suggested that, such close door sessions keep happening every alternate months.

The session formally concluded with a High Tea & Light Snacks clubbed with networking.
