As part of its dedication to be a leading Internet of Things (IoT) technology innovator, Fujitsu has created a live showcase of its Human Centric Innovation strategy. In this showcase the Fujitsu RunMyProcess cloud platform is used to connect wearables, sensors, mobile devices and cloud services in order to transform the end to end emergency response for a critically injured cyclist.

In the demonstrated scenario, information from a range of HOP Ubiquitous personal sensors is correlated within a smart watch. Whenever a potential accident is detected an alert is sent to the Fujitsu RunMyProcess cloud platform. From there, the platform orchestrates the end to end emergency response: notifying the emergency services, routing the ambulance using smart traffic data, providing accident and medical information to paramedics on tablets and finally monitoring the evolving traffic situation to minimize the delay in getting to the allocated hospital.

The technologies involved in the demonstration are real and publically available - including commercial sensors, smart city data from Santander, European standards for both emergency services (EENA) and health record access (EPSOS) and finally the Fujitsu RunMyProcess cloud platform itself.
