We are indebted to our Parish Council who showed great leadership under Council Chair, Janet Angelillo. The hard work of Noreen Donnellan and Tere McCue-Fleming, in particular, helped to make the event an inspirational expe-rience. The motivational witnesses at Mass by Janet Ange-lillo, Maureen Connolly, Jackie Engelhart and Teresa McCue-Fleming helped to give us all a better sense of what it really means to be a part of the Seton Parish Family. A special note of thanks to all our group leaders and group members who supplied informational materials and displays for their tables, and who enthusiastically shared their stories with all who stopped by to chat. We also appreciate all those who provided hospitality, coffee, cold drinks and tasty Seton bites. Seton at its best!

MERCY BOX Know It–Live It
CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING ON IMMIGRATION AND THE MOVEMENT OF PEOPLES Teaching on Immigration Finally, immigration policy that allows people to live here and contribute to society for years but refuses to offer them the opportunity to achieve legal status does not serve the common good. The presence of millions of people living without easy access to basic human rights and necessities is a great injustice. It is the position of the Catholic Church that pastoral, educa-tional, medical, and social services provided by the Church are never conditioned on legal status. All persons are invited to participate in our parishes, attend our schools, and receive other services offered by our institutions and programs.
Next Weekend No Second Collection

Shortly, we will begin training sessions for Lectors and Extraor-dinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Mass and to the Homebound. What’s expected? A candidate must be Catholic, at least 14 years of age to become a Lector / 18 years of age to become a Eucharistic Minister, having received First Holy Com-munion and Confirmation. The candidate must be leading a life of faith in keeping with the function to be assumed, not bound by any canonical penalty legitimately imposed or declared, be reverential, respectful of his/her faith, and of good moral charac-ter; and if married, be in a valid marriage according to the law of the Catholic Church. Lectors should possess the necessary ability and talents to proclaim the Word of God in a clear, dig-nified, and effective manner. Extraordinary Ministers who will bring Holy Communion to the sick should be able to minister to the sick in a compassionate, prayerful, and sensitive way. They should possess psychological maturity and the ability to keep confidences, not discussing indiscriminately the condition of patients or their homes. Many signed up on Ministry Week-end. If you did not sign up then but are interested, please call the rectory, 914-528-3547. Questions? Please see Fr. Quara-to. Working together to serve the Seton Family.
