Metric Definitions

1K Hosted Insurance Plan Members is defined as one thousand Hosted Insurance Plan Members. An

Insurance Plan Member is an individual member in Your (or Your affiliates’) health plan product offerings

processed by the Oracle Cloud Service. Individuals who are members of multiple health plan product offerings

processed through the Oracle Cloud Service shall only be deemed to be a single Insurance Plan Member.

Hosted $M in Application Annual Revenue is defined as one million U.S. dollars, (Insert equivalent

amount in local currency in these parens using the corporate treasury exchange rate Pricing > Pricing Tools > Local Pricing Exchange Rates), excluding taxes, billed during a fiscal year by Your businesses that use the Oracle Cloud Services.

Aggregate Bills is defined as the greater of either (a) the total number of bills generated via the Oracle Cloud

Services across all entity accounts per calendar month by the Oracle Cloud Service, or (b) the quotient of the total number of bill lines contained across all bills described in item (a) divided by five (5) and rounded up to the nearest whole number.1.

Instance is defined as a single Customer Deployment of the Oracle Cloud Service. For details of deployment

specific to an Oracle Cloud Service, please refer to the service descriptions/ entitlements associated with that service.

Glossary

Database Storage is defined as the total space allocated at the operating system level for database operations,

not including database executables.

File Storage is defined as the total space allocated for deployment, reporting and SFTP access.

Non-Production Environment may be either a Test, UAT or Training Environment provided to You as part of

the Cloud Services. The Non-Production Environment(s) are specifically sized and designed for testing and training purposes and may not be used for production purposes or for performance or stress testing. Any service levels, performance targets and disaster recovery described for the applicable Oracle Cloud Service are not applicable to Non-Production Environments.

1 For explanatory purposes, example (A): if there are two bills in a given calendar month, one with eighteen (18)

bill lines and one with three (3) bill lines, then the Aggregate Bill count for such month is five (5), because the

quotient of bill lines ((18 + 3)/5=4.2, rounded up to 5) is greater than the total number of bills (2); and example (B):

if there are two bills in a given calendar month, one with two (2) bill lines and one with three (3) bill lines, then the

Aggregate Bill count for such month is two (2), because the total number of bills (2) is greater than the quotient of

bill lines ((2+3)/5 = 1).

Page 5: Oracle Financial Services Global Business Unit · Oracle Financial Services GBU – Service Descriptions 5 Account is defined as an entity account created in the system for which

Oracle Financial Services GBU – Service Descriptions 5

Production Environment is defined as the environment provided to You as part of the Oracle Cloud Service

that is designed for daily commercial use and production operations of live data. Unless otherwise specified, a

single Production Environment is provided for an Oracle Cloud Service.

Non-Production Expanded Environment may be purchased and used for activities such as data migration

from customer legacy systems, for configuration and testing, etc. Certain programs and optional services may not

be able to run in the Non-Production Expanded Environment. The Non-Production Expanded Environment(s) are

specifically sized and designed for testing and training purposes and may not be used for production purposes or

for performance or stress testing. Any service levels, performance targets and disaster recovery described for the

applicable Oracle Cloud Service are not applicable to Non-Production Expanded Environments.

Customer Deployment (for purposes of Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing Cloud

Service) consists of two Environments: Production, and Non-Production.

Account is defined as an entity account created in the system for which usage is calculated and bills are

generated.

Bills generated per month is defined as the total number of bills generated across all entity accounts per

calendar month by the system.

Product is defined as different offerings defined in the system by the end user for pricing and billing.

Average Bill Lines per Bill is defined as the average number of bill lines generated per Bill, across all Bills for

the entity accounts held in the system. A Bill contains one or more bill lines . A bill line typically indicates charges

for usage of particular offerings defined in the system.

Bill lines generated per hour indicates the bill lines that can be generated per hour for entity accounts held

in the system. This is for indicative purpose and may vary on the site configuration and other factors. The

estimation includes standard Product billing jobs.

Bill lines is defined as lines of charge for products or services that are being billed via the Oracle Cloud Service,

including either pass-through charges (charges calculated by other systems and billed via the Oracle Cloud Service)

or charges calculated within the Oracle Cloud Service)

Rate Billable Charges refers to process of calculating the amount to be billed to customer for usage of Product

services against entity accounts held in the system.

No. of Inbound transactions is defined as the total number of transactions fed into ORMB by external

systems that will be used for pricing and billing.

Derived Transactions refers to sub-transactions derived from usage transactions fed by external system in

ORMB for creating billable charges for given Accounts and Products/ services.

Daily Rating refers to process of calculating the charges on a given account for usage of a Product/service for

given inbound transactions. This process rate the inbound transactions and generate pass through billable charges.

Pass through Billable charges are pre-calculated charges with the amount to be billed. Rating is not required

for these charges.

Page 6: Oracle Financial Services Global Business Unit · Oracle Financial Services GBU – Service Descriptions 5 Account is defined as an entity account created in the system for which

Oracle Financial Services GBU – Service Descriptions 6

Transactions processed per hour indicates the inbound transactions that can be processed in an hour. and

may vary on the site configuration and other factors. The number of inbound transactions processed per hour

includes standard Product transaction processing jobs.

Real Time peak Concurrent Requests is defined as the maximum number of concurrent web requests in

the system at any time. This includes web service calls and UI users.

Hosted Named User is defined as an individual authorized by you to access the Oracle Cloud Service,

regardless of whether the individual is actively accessing the Oracle Cloud Service at any given time.

Transaction Data is defined as the service usage transactions fed into ORMB by external system and derived

transactions

Financial Data is defined as the billing and payments data maintained in ORMB service.

Reporting User is defined as an individual authorized by You to access the Reporting option of this Oracle Cloud

Service.
