Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada: SUNDAY PRAYER LINK
Take time today to pray for renewal in our churches and the courage to follow God’s leading. Like other denomina-tions, many of our churches have been in decline in recent years. We have re-cently convened a group of leaders in Atlantic Canada who are wrestling with questions like: “What are the key foun-dational issues that must be identified and resolved if we are to change the trajectory of our denomination for the future?” What part does your church play in joining together to create solu-tions for these critical issues? Please pray for these leaders, but more im-portantly pray for renewal in our con-gregations and in the Church of Jesus Christ throughout Atlantic Canada!
Please pray for our known sick:
URV Hospital: Nancy Knox
At Home: Barb Ketch, Deverne Chase, Dorothy Jones, Mike Sonier

CBM PRAYERLINE
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO CBM has had a very long history in the remote region of northern Congo, in Likati, where health authorities are investigating sev-eral suspected cases of Ebola which also in-cludes three deaths. Please pray for those living in this area, as it is an area difficult to access and will require much work to stop the epidemic. Pray that preventative measures will be implemented quickly in order to stop the virus from spreading, and for those impacted already by this deadly outbreak.
CANADA This Thursday in Mississauga, Ontario, Lorne Park Baptist Church is hosting a talk around Loving Your Neighbour, where Chris-tians and Muslims will have an open forum to come together and discuss relationship build-ing strategies. Please pray as Dr. Martin Accad from CBM's partner, Arab Baptist Theo-logical Seminary in Lebanon, will facilitate this conversation between Christian and Muslim leaders, and pray for fruitful discussion to en-sue. May it be a safe space for conversation, and for it to be a positive step towards further conversations and community relationships.
PHILIPPINES Please include Kathy Yango, CBM Field Staff in the Philippines, in your prayers this week as she will be facilitating a teacher's training work-shop for child care/nursery workers at the Bucana Learning Centre. The centre suffered extensive damage due to a community fire a year ago, which CBM then provided the funds to have rebuilt. As the new school year begins the first week of June, please pray for the work-ers, children, and for the impact of education to continue to make a difference in the lives of people who need it most. Also, pray for gener-ous donors to help rebuild the children's library and for resources for the centre, after all was lost in the fire.
