Introduction

The TAPMI Operations Forum was established in March 2009, with an

academic perspective, while inducin industrial e!posure in the "eld o#

operations thus representin the needs o# the student communit$ across

sements%

• To improve the visibilit$ o# the Operations win o# TAPMI across the

industr$%

In view o# accomplishin the above ob&ectives, we plan to orani'e the

#ollowin events in the upcomin $ear 201()1*%

S$%$O$P$E$ 2015

The second edition o# +%%O%P%- held last $ear in October witnessed an

arra$ o# 10 uests #rom 9 di.erent sectors pertainin to Operations% This

edition was a one and a hal# da$ event over which uests were involved in

student interaction throuh /uest ectures, Panel iscussions and ase

+tud$ ompetition% The institute as well as the students immensel$

bene"ted throuh the nowlede trans#er which too place between the

uest, #acult$ and students%

Tain #orward #rom the success o# +%%O%P%- 201(, we plan to mae the

third edition a still bier event in terms o# the number o# uests, the

content o# the conclave and the duration o# the event%

3e came across brilliant ideas and suestions #rom the #ellow batch

mates, uest and participants in terms o# events that could be included as

a part o# the conclave% ertain new events are proposed to be included in

the +%%O%P%- 201( edition which includes Inter ollee ase stud$

competition, iital Poster ompetition and 4ui' ompetition% This $ear

we are looin #or a sole title sponsor and promoter #or our event +%%O%P%-

submit the solution in #orm o# presentation which will be evaluated b$#acult$ at TAPMI% The top * teams will be iven a chance to present in

#ront o# 7udes% The compan$ whose case stud$ is taen up, will be

considered as the promoter and sponsor #or this event%
