We are once again proud to bring you a diversified offering of quality in four different breeds. We would like to thank the the past buyers who have taken advantage of completing their bull shopping at this event and have used the opportunity to source a solid crossbreeding roster of bulls.

Outlaw Cattle Co., Brad Dundas of Hussar, has been successful consigning the high selling Simmental bull for the past few years. His strong set of bulls could certainly achieve this again, but nevertheless have a good look at this set as quality will run deep in the “RF Throttled” and the “Circuit Breakers”. They have made serious investments in herdsires at Outlaw. Wouldn’t you like to own a bull from someone who buys top bulls?

The Bob Anderson Family operate Tymarc Livestock at Cremona and ALWAYS have one of the most solid pens of Red Simmental bulls offered in the country. We have seen these bulls go on to work well in both registered and commercial herds. This is a very nice cowherd that is operated by one of the really nice guys in the business who conducts himself with a very humble demeanor.

Bar CL Simmentals, the Clark Family from Sundre, have taken some large steps in their cowherd expansion the last few years and it has reflected on a larger bullpen with much more quality to offer. This set of bulls are not only better than ever but also attain unique pedigrees that will be outcross to most bulls you purchase anywhere else. Following my January bullpen travels, I rank this group very high nationwide.

The Schmid’s GSB Simmentals have been a longtime consignor to the Mountainview Bull Sale and always bring a nice group of bulls that will be slightly younger than the norm so don’t overlook them because of this. They maintain a slow growth ration regimen in their day to day development of their bulls. They have built a solid core of repeat customers over the years.

Foat Valley Stock Farm, Gene, Mike and families, have a wonderful Charolais two-year-old bull program. Each year we are seeing expansion on their clientelle base as the reputation for their big, strong, athletic bulls spreads. Once you buy a Foat bull, not only will you be happy with the product but you will soon come to realize you are doing business with some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Gerrard Cattle Co., Dory & Janine & family, are local to Innisfail and have always sold top quality Charolais cattle. The Gerrard program is not based on large numbers, although not small, but high on quality. They utilize a solid donor cow program to establish their herd base and you will notice that several bulls will have the same dams as common denominators.

Demarah Farms, the Kendze’s from Olds, are a great family unit with everyone involved in the livestock herd. They bring a nice, fresh looking set of bulls that have been grown with a slower development format. Great hair and soundness!

Cutbank Cattle Co., owned by the Kubinecs of Three Hills once again offer a group of ranch-raised yearling and two-year-old Red Angus and Polled Hereford bulls. This real-world operation has developed a following that annually purchases their bulls because of the satisfaction they have in the results of a Cutbank bull.

Chestermere Herefords, the Bricker Family of Didsbury, are VERY well known to the Polled Hereford business. This is a classy family that are very professional to deal with and have a product that comes from generations of knowledge of breeding cattle. These are top bulls in the Polled Hereford industry and deserve serious consideration.

Highmark Ranching make a second appearance at Mountainview. Their bulls were well received last year and they will offer a group of Polled Hereford bulls that have birthweights with adequate growth numbers to satisfy most producers.

Welcome to Transcon’s Mountainview Bull Sale. I am glad to be a part of this great event again. Outlaw Cattle is located NE of Hussar where I calve out approximately 100 purebred red/black Simmentals. I continue to purchase and keep back females to increase numbers and also cull hard to strengthen the maternal power in my herd.

I have a very strict A.I./Embryo program to incorporate outcross genetics into my herd. I also flush some of my elite donors to expand their impact into the herd and sell some elite genetic based cattle. I use a strong herd bull battery to anchor the breeding program. I strive to breed and raise functional and profitable cattle for today’s market.

I market cattle through social media, verbally and through showcasing them at 3 major shows in the fall. I sell bulls and females at consignment sales and off farm.

The bulls were weaned in September and were raised from spring to then on native grass and their mother’s milk. They are then started and stay on Country Junction Feeds 16% Right Way bull ration and free choice grass hay.

My lead off bull this year is a meat machine. 22C has a ton of middle and is a deep flanked, big topped, big hipped powerhouse. Very sound, lots of bone, big scrotal, super disposition and great haired individual. More Throttled 22C has been a standout since birth and just kept developing into the great herd sire he has become. The TESS Ms Black 22Z cow is a very moderate, great uddered, huge middle female that has a huge future here. When I bought the group of breds from Tessier Simmentals 3 years ago she was the top black out of the group. She will be making her way to the donor pen. She has a bull calf on the ground this year from Outlaw Soda Pop 14B, my high selling bull last year, and he is quite good. RF Throttled 311A has left me an outstanding set of calves his first year. All females were kept back to add more maternal strength to my herd since Throttled is backed by some of the best cows in the breed. He was campaigned the last 2 years and was declared champion 4 times. I could write a book on how good Outlaw More Throttled is and how much maternal and paternal strength is behind him. But I will let the bull himself do the talking. I recommend coming to tour and see all the bulls but you really need to come see 22C. He is truly a sale feature. Homo polled, homo black. 2. OUTLAW MR THROTTLED 14CThis mating really knocked it out of the park with 14C. A real powerhouse with great hair, big boned, big hip, ton of middle and hard muscle. Total performance herd bull prospect that will add pounds to your weaning weights. Also a bull that can get out and move for such a meat machine. And to add he has big scrotal. Sired by none other than RF Throttled 311A, a bull that has left a big impact in my herd and that has excelled in the show ring. And mothered by a very stout, thick made Rampage daughter that’s super uddered. The Rampage females are making phenomenal cows. 3. OUTLAW MR THROTTLED 23CHere is a calf that has a lot going for him. 23C is super stout, big round hipped, long sided, thick and very deep. These Throttled calves all have super hair, big scrotal and great disposition. 23C is a bull I really thought about keeping to use on my heifer pen and on a few cows. But over half of the heifers are paternal sibs and I have the sire. I really like this calf a lot and I’m sure so will you. Sired by many time champion bull RF Throttled 311A and mothered by, yet again, another outstanding Rampage daughter. These Rampage daughters are very moderate but produce big time. If you’re looking for a herd bull to put in the heifer pen or use on cows, here is a prospect that will leave you an amazing calf crop. 5. OUTLAW MR THROTTLED 24CMr Throttled 24C is a very long bodied, soft made, clean fronted, wide topped bull with decent calving ease EPDs. He is also very good footed and so free moving, he can cover a lot of ground. His sire, RF Throttled 311A, needs no introduction as he is the sire of half my offering in this year’s bull sale and is a many time champion. He has a little extra frame size to him but carries a lot of hard muscle and shape. A bull that can get out and move with a big hard foot. He was #1 for YW at 1480 lbs and ADG at 4.3 lbs. His mother is a heavy milking, big, long bodied daughter of Wheatland Bull 468P. Mr Throttled 25C’s grandmother is a very good producing cow. A very strong pedigree here for added performance. Total performance herd bull prospect that will add pounds to your weaning weights. Also a bull that can get out and move for such a meat machine. And to add he has big scrotal. His sire is my walking herd bull, Wheatland Circuit Breaker, who was the high selling bull at Wheatland Cattle 2014 bull sale at $60,000 and I’m beyond impressed with how he has been stamping his calves. His dam is only on her 3rd calf and I can already write a book on her production. Her first calf was retained and was my lead off bred at the Western Harvest Sale selling for $9,500 to Glasman Farms, MB and Mr Breaker 50C is her 2nd calf that leads my red bulls in this year’s sale. And her 3rd calf is on the ground and is a heifer calf sired by Outlaw Soda Pop 14B and is very impressive. 50C is a true feature with a proven pedigree behind him.

He displays a lot of muscle shape with great hair and movement. His dam is a very deep, soggy, great uddered Red Eye daughter that raises the right kind each year. The Circuit Breaker calves are all very similar in their make up, all super stout, great disposition, ton of muscle and great hair. Mr Breaker 68C will grab your attention sale day.

Here is a son of Wheatland Circuit Breaker that is full of power front to back. 30C is very long bodied, good haired, has lots of hip and top with large testicles. A really easy doing bull with a big foot under him and travels free. His dam is a solid black, big bodied, heavy milking cow that puts a lot into her calves. Don’t let the scurs scare ya. He will add a lot of pounds to his calf crop. Be sure to mark 30C in your catalog, he deserves a good look sale day.

Welcome. I breed cattle that excel and survive in a low input environment, with no creep feed and extra manage-ment. There are plenty of high input cattle out there that only cost you money. When you purchase high input genetics the only way their progeny can duplicate themselves is if you have a high input environment. The large factor that contributes to profit or loss in Canada is winter feeding costs. Research shows that weaning weight only increases every 6 lbs of every 100 lbs of increased cow size. Coming to a sale and picking the big one will not help this scenario. British cattle eat way less and are lower maintenance. We must decide, do we want to try to top the market or win the ribbon, so we can brag, or do we want an efficient animal that keeps the banker happy.

My cattle are bred different. The Angus, although Red, carry more black genetics than red genetics. The Polled Herefords are a complete outcross to Canadian genetics. I have brought up 3 live bulls, and nu-merous females from the USA. I find Herefords down there that can survive in a low input environment.

These bulls are started on feed later than most, so carry less condition. They are fresh and will last longer. No rush to get to the sale early. Come for lunch and then walk out and look over the bulls, as the British bulls close out the sale.

This year marks our third year participating in the Mountainview Bull Sale, and we are pleased to be able to offer a group of half and three-quarter brothers for your consideration. Our family has been in the pedigreed Hereford seed-stock business for four generations, raising the kind of functional cattle that suit our commercial customers. We focus on raising cattle that are problem-free with performance. The herd has been performance testing for the better part of six decades. Primarily, we use our home-raised bulls, supplemented with AI from a few of the breed leaders. Consistent with that approach, we are offering seven paternal siblings out of home-raised mother cows.

Our bulls were weaned the middle of November and have been grown using an oat and hay ration over the winter. They should work for the new owners for a long time.

The purpose of our operation is to raise high quality bulls for the commercial cattle industry. This includes a carefully selected AI program and the best of our owned sires. The result is low birth weights with high growth potential along with a strong pigmentation.

Terms & ConditionsTERMS - The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard, or Interac, payable at par at sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder.SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.INFORMATION SUPPLIED - The information contained in this catalog is believed to be true and accurate. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors. or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.TRANSCON LIVESTOCK CORP.
