75% of emerging infectious diseases originate in animalpopulations, and 60% of human infectious diseases are

zoonotic

The frequency of emergence of new diseases, and the

cost of dealing with them, is increasing

. . . hence we need an integrated framework for dealing with

them: the One Health concept

Aside from an overarching concept, One Health must beapplicable:
