One Young World ID:

• Founders: Kate Robertson and David Jones from Havas media agency in London.

• OYW gathers amazing youth, aged 18-30.• 1200 participants from 190+ countries annually.• Only Olympic Games gather more delegations.• OYW host cities: London 2010, Zurich 2011,

Pittsburg 2012, Johannesburg 2013, Dublin 2014

How can OYW inspire us:

• 18-30 olds understand and use new media. The advantage of the 6-person degree separation. ‘If you can’t tweet it, don’t say it.’ ‘Davos for 25-year olds’• This category of youth -> prove(d) their leadership. • The entire world is in the room; YES to dialogue!• OYW delegates travel to host cities -> they meet their

counselors/role models and they build global partnerships with other delegates.

OYW consists of:

• The annual summit in the city which won the bid and gathers youth, counselors, companies, NGOs.

• The database of outstanding youth doing projects and working in the world-renowned companies.

• The Global Consultation Process with counselors.• Regional events and new Delegates’ initiatives.• Tools for fundraising, start-ups, negotiation skills.• Competitions for financing start-ups, projects.

How to get involved?

• As a Delegate – your participation is self-funded or OYW, companies, and individuals help you.

• As an Ambassador/ Returning Ambassador – you attend Summit again, you start projects, you lead.

• As a company representative – you scout for talent.• As a media representative – you find a story.• As an Ambassador’s friend/colleague/supporter –

you participate in projects and improve community.

Your time to shine:

• Identify 1 problem in your community that you really want to solve in 2014.

• WHY is that important to you?• HOW will you solve it?• WITH whom will you solve it?• Use SMART framework for goals.

Travelling ‘round the globe:
