TRANSCRIPT
One week ago, about 90 teenagers woke up with bags under their eyes just to get on a bus traveling to Hays, KS. We all figured it wasn't a big deal. That same day, an out-of-the-ordinary man named Ernie G. informed us that by the end of the week, we will no longer be friends but family. All of us thought, "He doesn't know what he's talking about," but little did we know that he was only speaking the truth. For me, I was scared, nervous, and anxious because I didn't know what to expect in this 4 day expedition. I remember saying to myself at the end of the first day, "I can't wait to go home." But the truth is, when Saturday came along, the thought that I was leaving literally broke my heart. In just a matter of days I made a deep connection with 8 people, who I am now proud to call my "Familia" because we all shared our story. With the help of Hector, Alma, Ernie, Pamela, Isaac,

Assessment
President Martin, I just want to thank you and everyone else who helped make the Hispanic College camp happen. I had a lot of fun learning about college and how to get into college! Fort Hays is definitely the College for me!!! I also loved meeting new people and meeting my new best friends, no, my new sisters. We keep in touch and check up on each other ever day. It was one of the hardest “see you laters” I had ever made on Saturday. It was like a piece of my heart had been torn out of me seeing them for the last time this year. I will definitely be going again next year! Thank you will never be enough for what you and the others have done! God bless!-Maria D.
