The following program was created for Warfighters by Warfighters. OSOK-IP is a holistic program that addresses the whole Warfighter. As such its modules cannot be separated nor its delivery method modified. To do so would compromise the integrity of the program.

Furthermore, although OSOK-IP was customized for the Warfighter community through multidisciplinary consultants working closely with line representation, its management and delivery must be accomplished byWarfighters operating on the line.

Controlled Breathing Slow and controlled breathing Muscle Control Relaxed posture and not jerking the trigger Internal/External Feedback External Feedback from a spotter to make adjustments; Internal Feedback from your body on physical cues Mental Tactics Target acquisition; filtering distractions; concentration Repetition aka Muscle Memory Repetition, going through each step over and over until it became second nature;and Motivation Because sometimes you may be out there in the blazing heat or for long hours. Motivation will keep you grounded and help you endure hardships to keep you on target.

However, what your instructor may or may not have told you is that its not mastering 1 or 2 of these skill sets that will enable you to make a perfect shot, but a level of mastery of all of them in unison. This is what separates the good shooters from the great shooters. Great shooters have achieved a level of mastery of each of these skill sets, and are aware of their interdependence.

11 Similarly, the OSOK-IP P&R Program focuses on the COMPLETE WARRIOR The program consists of a constellation of interdependent life systems directly related to P&R (Performance and Resilience). Interdependent in the sense that although each contribute to P&R, like marksmanship, OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE comes as a result of achieving a level of mastery of all systems working in unison;

Mastery of this system not only enhances your PERFORMANCE in a wide range of competencies vital to combat, it also increases your RESILIENCE against illness and trauma by providing you with a protective barrier;

Taking a closer look youll see that the items covered by OSOK are not limited to the combat situation and in fact cross over many other areas of your life, thereby enabling you to reach other personal and professional goals;

The most important thing to remember is that b/c of the interdependent format of the program, a lack of mastery or degrade of any life systems will effect neighboring systems and degrade the entire network;

The results would be a decline in performance followed by a vulnerability to illness or trauma

We Take Care of Our Own12- Another unique characteristic about OSOK-IP is that most of the content provided in this training was contributed by your fellow Warfighters; Warfighters who have deployed before you have contributed their knowledge and expertise to module content. In essence, the OSOK-IP program allows Warfighters to take care of our own.

Recharge14- Restorative sleep is essential for performance and resiliency. - It allows the human body to regenerate and rebuild following combat missions. Critical human systems temporarily shut down and the body is rejuvenated, invigorated, and recharged. The Recharge Module will teach you strategies to target disrupted sleep patterns associated with the combat environment.

Following the completion of each module, youll be asked to answer a number of questions and plot your shot on the corresponding module target sheet Upon the completion of the 2-day workshop, your shot groups will be analyzed and will provide you with an understanding of your current level of performance. In addition it will give you an idea of which shot (aka module) youll need to focus on.- At any time, it will act as a compass keeping you at your peak level of performance by pinpointing systems that may become compromised.
