We are committed with the environment and human development: we recycle scrap metal to transform it into essential steel products for the construction industry.
With an annual production capability of 840 thousand tons, our steel products include rebar, reinforcing welded mesh, prefabricated reinfor-cing welded element armacero, wire rod, annea-led wire, and nails.
Our strategic geographic location in central Mexico allows us to fulfill the needs for construc-tion steel within the cities that generate 70% of our country’s GDP.
We pride ourselves in providing outstanding service with the highest quality standards and the shortest lead time.
A 100% Mexican capital steel company
OUR HISTORY
www.grupoacerero.com.mx4
Our vision is to consolidate GRUPO ACERERO as a diversified, competitive, integrated, and institutionalized company, with a distinctive organizational culture based on its values and social responsibility.
GRUPO ACERERO contributes to building a better world by generating profitability, growth and sustainable development based on the ecient purveyance of recycled steel products that guarantee total customer satisfaction while promoting the loyalty and discipline that strengthen our company and personnel.
Those of us who shaped GRUPO ACERERO entered the steel industry in 1980; fifteen years later, we established the company as GRUPO ACERERO, SA de CV.
We invested in steelworks in 2004, initiating our vertical integration process. We consolidated that process in 2007, as we started to purchase ferrous scrap that we transformed into steel construction materials.
In 2011 we took another major step, achieving a merger with other regional steel companies and expanding our
OUR MISSION OUR VISION
At GRUPO ACERERO we are committed with:
Quality and innovation in our processes and products
Total customer satisfaction

product line oering. Three years later, we advanced our integration process by acquiring a rolling mill that features the most advanced technology.
In celebration of 20 years providing exceptional quality and customer service, GRUPO ACERERO has engaged in an institutionalization process that will guarantee our strength and development for years to come.
COMPETITIVENESS IN THE STEEL INDUSTRY
Steel is one of the most commonly used metals in the world: there is no industry that does not require it. From canned goods to skyscrapers, everything is made out of steel.
Steel is also one of the most recycled metals; it always maintains its properties such as resistance, hardness and malleability, no matter how many times it is processed.
Treating steel adequately saves water, energy and raw materials, in addition to reducing emissions that lead to climactic change.

CUSTOMERSERVICE
OUR PROCESS
Strategically located in central Mexico, in the state of San Luis Potosi, we enjoy significant advantages by being situated at under 310 miles (500 km) from the most important and fastest growing cities in the country. We have a presence throughout the national territory and export our products to United States, Canada and Latin America.
Our recycling process begins by recollecting scrap metal that we melt into liquid steel in our foundry, cast it and converting it into billets. These semi-finished products (billets) are used to manufacture rebars and wire rod. This wire rod is also used to produce a variety of drawn steel products
Integrating our own shipping company ensures the purveyance of our supplies and the delivery of finished products to our customers, distin-guishing us as the steel company with the most prompt delivery times.
THE CHALLENGESAHEAD
Constant growth leads to new and greater commitments with our customers, which is why, at GRUPO ACERERO we continuously strive to:
Further diversify our product lines
Spearhead the industry in using the latest technology
Maintain exceptional quality and customer service
Drive the development of our human resources
Strengthen our organizational culture
Keep commited with the community and the enviroment
WITHOUT CONTINUAL GROWTH AND PROGRESS, SUCH WORDS AS IMPROVEMENT, ACHIEVEMENT, AND SUCCESS HAVE NO MEANING.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Steel is one of the most commonly used metals in the world: there is no industry that does not require it. From canned goods to skyscrapers, everything is made out of steel.
Steel is also one of the most recycled metals; it always maintains its properties such as resistance, hardness and malleability, no matter how many times it is processed.
Treating steel adequately saves water, energy and raw materials, in addition to reducing emissions that lead to climactic change.
OUR COMMITMENT WITH THE ENVIRONMENTGRUPO ACERERO cares for the environment through the following processes:
Fume controlGas emissions into the atmosphere are controlled at our fumes treatment plant that processes and concentrates dust generated by the electric arc furnace and refinery furnace.
Wastewater treatmentWastewater from the melt shop and rolling mills is treated at our wastewater treatment plant to eliminate metals and oils for reuse.
www.grupoacerero.com.mx10
Oxygen supply and regulationOur oxygen plant supplies and regulates the required oxygen to the dierent manufacturing areas.
Oil residue and impregnated textile controlWe follow a specific control and recollection procedure for oil residue and impregnated textiles to ensure that our manufacturing process does not harm the environment.
Sludge thickeningContaminates water during primary and secondary cooling. In order to be reused, the water is recap-tured in a scale pit where it is descaled with the aid of machinery.
The water then flows through sand filters, and lastly, to a sludge thickener where the clarification process is finalized by sedimentation.
Using our products in construction projects earns points towards one of the four LEED rating levels along with additional benefits including:
Spaces that oer better health and productivity conditions for their occupants
Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
Access to fiscal incentives
Lower operational costs
Increased asset value
Waste reduction
Energy and water conservation
OUR PRODUCTS AND LEED CERTIFICATION
GRUPO ACERERO is a member of the US Green Building Council, an organization that certifies
buildings and communities that are planned, constructed, maintained and operated with a focus
on energy eciency and sustainable design through Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design (LEED), contributing to environmental conservation worldwide.
