CMC Runs BPC EPM 10.1 on NetWeaver and HANA for Financial Planning and Consolidation (12:55 pm) Level: Beginner/Intermediate The goal of the BPC project at CMC is to provide one “source” of data for financial users to report consistent financial

and operational data. The implementation of BPC will consist of multiple phases. Phase 1 includes Financial

Consolidation and Planning with ability to provide Consolidated Financial Statements including cash flow by entity

and Managerial Reporting. Transformation of inefficient legacy processes is one of the key elements to realize BPC’s

full potential. Once fully installed, BPC will serve to provide global users a platform to focus on analyzing data versus

aggregating or calculating data. Financial and operational data will include financial statements, Plan and Forecast

data, customer and vendor analytics, tonnage sold, average selling price, working capital days, and many other

metrics.

This session will cover:

• CMC’s decision to implement EPM BPC 10.1 on Netweaver and HANA for Financial Planning and Consolidations

• Review the phased project approach and the benefits of each phase

• Learn about “Key Design Decisions” that were made during the project

• Lessons learned from Phase 1 project implementation

Texas Instruments - Bringing Mobility to the Warehouse Using SAP ITS (11:05 a.m.)

Level: Beginner In 2014, Texas Instruments rolled out a series of custom mobile warehouse transactions using SAP's ITS Mobile technology. As of August 2014, the project has gone live in six sites worldwide (US, Europe, Asia). This presentation will review key aspects of the project, including SAP code development, mobile device selection, and wireless LAN construction. After implementing the project, TI has been better able to track inventory at the box/bin level and improve FIFO management of our stock. Texas Instruments recently deployed mobile SAP transactions at several of its worldwide warehouses, using SAP's ITS Mobile technology. This presentation reviews key aspects of the project, including SAP application development, mobile device selection, and wireless LAN construction. Key benefits of the project include improved visibility to box/bin level inventory data, and improved FIFO management of stock. Greg Davis, IT Architect, Texas Instruments

The SAP User Interface Question (12:55 pm) Level: Intermediate Businesses and professionals alike are looking for ways to boost productivity, improve efficiency and deliver better results. Achieving this objective may be as simple as re-examining the platform and interface employees, partners and vendors use to access SAP and other critical business systems, to ultimately enhance user experience and streamline processes. This session will investigate SAP’s strategy for enhancing the UX, as well as traditional UX strategies. We will also discuss your options for mobile platforms for third-party applications. Disrupting the Speed and Economics of Mobilizing SAP (2:00 pm)

Level: Intermediate Enterprise mobility empowers and liberates your workforce by accelerating critical business processes and boosting overall productivity. Early adopters of mobile development have already experienced these benefits as well as improved operational efficiencies, however most organizations struggle with the barriers imposed by skill set requirements (mobile developers), complicated architecture, and lengthy mobile app development cycles. During our session, Capriza will examine the benefits and challenges associated with mobilizing your enterprise and will introduce and explore Capriza's solution for SAP, a disruptive mobility platform delivering rapid design and deployment of cross-platform mobile apps for even the most customized SAP implementations. We will discuss a case study of how TiVo mobilized manager approvals from SAP's Universal Work List in only 3 weeks and will conclude the session by designing and deploying a mobile app for SAP CRM in 10 minutes without writing a single line of code or requiring complex APIs. Business Objects Track

Hoarding: Buried Alive – How to keep your SAP BusinessObjects system from becoming part of the show (10:00 a.m.)

Level: Beginner Considering the maturity and success of corporate adoption and use of SAP BusinessObjects, the emerging problem for many installations is that there is now a huge cost to the systems success. That is, that there are too many ad hoc created reports and how does one deem what is critical. While many installations started with XIR2, the migration from R2 to 3.1 was typically a “forklift approach” that simply migrated everything. Now 4-5 years later, there is little budget for simply forklifting everything over when migrating to BusinessObjects 4.1.

ASUG Face-to-face Meetings: Education & Networking in Your Local Area

AGENDA PAGE: 11

The opportunity this presents now is to clean the system out as part of the migration. This means smart meta-data analysis of what should stay and what should go. But what is clearly lacking in the new Upgrade Management Tool (UMT) is a surgical way to select what stays and goes. In this presentation we will show how our client sorted through 80,000 reports owned by over 120 business units and packaged them using the BusinessObjects SDK and Excel to make the job of UMT easier and error free. Tom Fallwell, Chief Solution Architect , cBEYONData, Inc. Tom Fallwell is the Chief Solution Architect with cBEYONData, Inc. His life in BI began with Crystal Reports 6 and continues today with SAP BusinessObjects 4.X. His continual interest in software development is currently focused on the SDK’s of SAP BusinessObjects SDK, ESRI, and various open source projects. Beyond the digital life, Tom enjoys analog activities like sailing and playing acoustic guitar.

Mastering SAP Dashboards (Xcelsius Training Session) (11:05 a.m.)

Level: Beginner The most consistent challenge organizations face when rolling out a dashboard is poor user adoption rates. This is almost always due to not paying enough attention to the three core components that separate an ordinary dashboard from extraordinary. In this session, you’ll learn how to bring all three pieces together to deliver sleek, useful and user-friendly Xcelsius dashboards that your executives will love. Jeremy Alper, Sr. Business Intelligence Consultant, Method360 Jeremy Alper is a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant at Method360 with over 10 years’ experience in data visualization. Jeremy has designed dozens of executive level SAP dashboard solutions for fortune 500 companies in various sectors. His ability to transform data into information continues to help businesses rethink the way they do Business Intelligence.

Case Study: How TRCC Transformed Decision-Making with BusinessObjects and SAP Business Suite Powered by HANA (12:55 pm)

Level: Beginner/Intermediate This session debunks the myth that SAP HANA is only for large enterprises by taking an up-close look at Textile Rubber & Chemical Company's (TRCC) migration to SAP Business Suite powered by HANA and BusinessObjects. This session will focus on the real-time, analytics solution implemented that allows TRCC to interact with and see: • High-level KPIs across the company to quickly understand the pulse of the organization • Trends over time to visualize the impact of process improvements • Comparisons against plan and forecasts to take action and avoid surprises Steve Freeman, VP Field Operations, Decision First Technologies Steve is the Vice President of Field Operations at Decision First Technologies (DFT), an Atlanta-based Business Analytics Consultancy focused on Data Governance, real-time analytics and predictive analysis. Steve is responsible for DFT’s go to market strategy and services execution across all markets. Supply Chain/Compliance Track

8 Ways to Improve Your Supply Chain (10:00 a.m.) Level: Intermediate This session will cover how improvements can be made in your operations by automating your supply chain through barcoding and the implementation of data collection technology. The presentation will cover ways to leverage your investment in the Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules in SAP. Scott McKenzie, Speaker Title, RF Gen Speaker BIO.....

What you need to know about SAP Solutions for GRC (11:05 a.m.) Level: Intermediate Can you effectively articulate what GRC is and what value SAP solutions for governance, risk, and compliance can offer your organization? Attend this session for a greater understanding of how technology improves managing risks related to third parties, fraud, access rights, global trade, regulatory compliance, financial reporting and corporate performance. Learn how recent innovations including HANA and Cloud for GRC are opening up new opportunities. Bruce Romney, Sr. Director - SAP Solutions for GRC, SAP America Bruce’s experience in GRC topics stem from a wide range of activities over the past 14 years across several industries. These include consulting on several audit engagements in the Risk and Advisory practice of a large public accounting firm, managing large scale e-discovery projects and industry experience managing a contract manufacturing facility in Mexico. Bruce is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas

Dynamic Purchase Requisition Approval without Configuration (12:55 p.m.)

Level: Beginner A common challenge for SAP clients is having a procurement approval process that routes to the appropriate individual, or multiple individuals, dynamically based on a combination of data; for example, cost center and amount. Another top desire is having a solution that is easy to use and facilitates a seamless approval process. Often the

authoring individuals are executives and are traveling or seldom log on to SAP. SAP’s purchase requisition and purchase order release strategies must be heavily customized to meet these needs and this requires ABAP programming and, of course, SAP Change Transports to migrate throughout the system landscape. With every modification there is risk of breaking the process. Winshuttle workflow is ideal for solving this challenge. Please join us for a demonstration of a purchasing approval process that just might work out of the box for your company. Steven Branch, Speaker Title, Configurable Management Speaker Bio

Super User – Customer Stories Cameron: Super Users Supporting Change Management and Value Realization (10:00 am)

Level: Beginner In many SAP implementation projects, change management is a part of the project plan before go-live. Those who have implemented major change efforts understand that true business process and transofrmation change often isn't fully realized until after go-live. Super users are key to making sure the change 'sticks' and can be long-term advocates for the effort. In this session, we will review how Cameron is utilizing super users as change agents. Julie Fawdington, Manager – Super User Development Team, Cameron Julie has worked in leadership development, training, HR and change management roles during her career. Combining these skills with a great team, we have created a sustainable super user program within Cameron and grown it to be an integral part of our SAP support model. We are passionate about working with super users and helping them perform as key change levers in the organization. They are the ones who get things done in the business!

HollyFrontier: Resurrecting Super User Programs Post Go-Live to Drive Business Value (3:05 pm)

Level: Beginner

HollyFrontier implemented SAP several years ago. They had identified gaps in the utilization of SAP and in correctly following the processes that SAP sets forth in some areas. The opportunity to improve SAP utilization, follow standardized business processes, and increase overall ROI from the use of SAP was recognized. One of the key success factors to accomplish this was to build a Super User framework that would be piloted, assessed and repeated throughout the organization. In partnership with Abreon, HollyFrontier created an approach to building and sustaining Super User Communities throughout the organization.

In order to ensure success, HollyFrontier leveraged a creative approach to ensure the right people were engaged, the end user community was aware of the program, the super users received the education required to be successful with their new role, and rewards and recognition programs were put in place to help gain momentum and ensure sustainability long term. Key elements of the program included:

Assessing the organization by location and determining the right mix of super users

Communicating early and often with custom branding, using simple communication vehicles to drive excitement and awareness

Building a training program that includes eLearning, Instructor Led Training, and Job Aids to ensure the Super Users have the information required to do their jobs as well as to share with the end user community

Ensuring Super Users have system, process and soft skills required to be effective in their role

ASUG Face-to-face Meetings: Education & Networking in Your Local Area

AGENDA PAGE: 16

Packaging the Super User program to be repeated in other parts of the organization, and incorporated into the overall support of HollyFrontier

Establishing a long-term sustainable program with flexibility based on the changing needs of the organization over time

We aren’t finished yet. As the program continues to grow beyond its initial stage, HollyFrontier plans to implement measurement tools to provide management empirical and statistical data. HollyFrontier has purchased and is implementing KNOA to measure gaps and areas of risk as well as opportunities for immediate improvement. This data will also be used to demonstrate improvement and identify focus topics for future improvement. In many SAP implementation projects, change management is a part of the project plan before go-live. Those who have implemented major change efforts understand that true business process and transofrmation change often isn't fully realized until after go-live. Super users are key to making sure the change 'sticks' and can be long-term advocates for the effort. In this session, we will review how Cameron is utilizing super users as change agents. Blake Abbott, Senior Manager, Business Process Management, HollyFrontier Corporation Sherri Regester, Abreon HollyFrontier Corporation is among the largest independent petroleum refiners in the United States with operations throughout the mid-continent, southwestern and Rocky Mountain regions. In his current position, Blake is responsible for the oversight of all business process improvement initiatives as well as enterprise master data.
