Need for Omni directional vehicle
• In the field of automobiles, there are often situations where the driver is needed to maneuver in spaces that are very constricted (while in heavy traffic or while parking). This often requires the vehicle to be either too small or to utilize a different method for mobility.
• The goal of the project is to utilize a method that is based on spheres which would allow the vehicle to be able to change direction at the will of the driver and also give more freedom of motion.
Project Goals•To provide a mechanism which imparts
much more stability and ease of steering compared to the conventional wheel system.
•To provide an innovative substitute for personal mobility at reduced cost and pollution.
•To provide more degrees of freedom of motion.
Work Distribution and Time Required•The process of designing a vehicle is not a
simple task; as a matter of fact it takes a lot of effort from all members of the team to achieve a successful design. So the work was divided among the team members for faster completion of the project.
•The work is divided and the time taken for each work is as follows :-
