Individual normal hill competi-tion is an event in whichathletes jump from a HS 105 hill(HS = hill size). The longestdistance reached is around 105

Team competition, again only for themen this year, takes place on the

large hill, the HS 140. Teams consistof four people. In the final round thefield is reduced to the eight teamswith the highest scores on the first

For the men, individual large hill competition is an event inwhich athletes jump from an HS 140. Therefore, the length ofthe jump may be up to 140 meters or a little more. The

competition is structured and jumpers are scored by judges forform, not just pure distance, just like on the normal hill.
