From June 21-30, more than 200,000 Americans celebrated Olympic Day by participating in 832 events in 690 cities across all 50 states. Americans also celebrated in 10 overseas locations, making this year the most successful Olympic Day celebration ever in the United States. In addition to the record number of participants, more than 600 Olympians, Paralympians, coaches and hope- fuls joined community-based organizations to share stories and promote Olympism and active lifestyles as part of Olympic Day. The U.S. Olympic Committee thanks everyone who contributed to the success of Olympic Day and for helping to inspire Americans across the United States!
