Tai Chi - Level 1Tai Chi (Taiji) translates as the grand terminus and is represented by the yin/yang symbol. Tai Chi forms are done softly in a meditative state to enhance sensitivity and awareness. Each posture not only reflects a natural principle but also contains a martial application. In this class students are exposed to the primary elements that underlie good Tai Chi practice. The principles are the same as in Qigong practice, proper posture, relaxation, smooth even movements, correct breathing techniques and standing postures. Some say that you can do Chi Gong without doing Tai Chi, but you cannot do Tai Chi properly without understanding Chi Gong.
