is for You
We, the unified faith community of OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH, include the churches of Saint Peter, Our Lady of Hope, Saint Michael, Holy Rosary and Immaculate Conception. We are a diverse, merged community with a long history of faith.
As a community of faith, we seek to worship together and grow with the sacraments as we nurture a love of Christ and one another.
As disciples of Christ through Catholic education we strive to help the youth and children explore, understand and practice their faith.
As a body of Christ, we are committed to evangelization through Catholic education and fellowship.
We seek to become a strong, active community rooted in charity.

From the Desk of Father Joji
Dear Friends, In the miracle of the loaves and fishes, we cannot get back to what actually happened. But we can see what it meant to the people of the time. For them the miracle recalled the Old Testament story of manna in the desert.
Jesus is the new Moses who feeds his people in the desert. In this feeding they saw an anticipation of the Eucharist. The gestures and words used are those of the Last Supper, and of the Eucharist: ‘He took the bread ... blessed it ... broke it ... and gave it to them. The Eucharist in turn anticipates the final banquet of the Kingdom. The generosity of Jesus is clear from this miracle. His heart went out for the people in all their needs. Let us turn to the deep meaning of the miracle and become partners in it. Starting this Monday, Aug. 7, I will say Mass on Mondays at 8:30 am in the Adoration Chapel.
Aug. 5, St. Rose of Lima, Cuba City, Parish Raffle. Tickets are available at the St Rose parish office and in church, Thompson’s IGA in Cuba City and Steinhart’s Farm Service, between Cuba City and Platteville and any St. Rose Parishioner.

Sept. 16 Men: Save the Date! It’s not easy being a man in today’s society. But, by building a foundation based on our faith and values, we can strengthen each other. Join us September 16th at the Becoming Better Men conference at St John the Baptist Parish, Waunakee, Wi. October 15: Our Lady of Fatima Fall Festival, Holy Rosary Church and Municipal Building, Darlington WI.

OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP
“And he was transfigured before them: His face shown as the sun and his clothes became white as light.” MATTHEW 17:2
Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun we should reflect Christ’s light to the world. When we receive the Eucharist the body and blood of Jesus, we are called to be supernatural to reflect His love, mercy, and forgiveness to others. When we are grateful for all that God has given us, generosity flows through us because we are made in the image of God.
Please pray for our sick: Bernie Wiegel, Glenn Garvey, Dale Symons, Eileen White, Joyce Von Rueden, Rita Marty, Heidi Brunkow Moran, Paul O’Brien, Jerry Nethery, Jean Stopper, Adler Roelli, Bob Quinn, Tammy Pratt Kingman, Kathy Mueller, Virginia Larson, Jim Tuescher and Tom Corley. If you know of someone seriously ill and needs community prayers, please inform Father Joji.
