Almost all patients with sickle cell anemia havepainful episodes , which can last from hours todays. These crises can affect the bones of theback, the long bones, and the chest. 15. EPILESPSY A common and diverse set of chronicneurological disorders characterizedby seizures. Epileptic seizures result from abnormal,excessive activity in the brain.
