A collaborative street outreach initiative for summer 2021.

WHY: Engage students and families during the summer● Connect students and families with resources,

including meals, hygiene supplies, food, clothing, social services

● Build relationships with students, families, and community provider staff

● Assess student and system-wide needs to inform future programming & future partners

● Activities – reading, art, physical play, music, academic and social support

WHO: HIDOE Student Support Services, School Staff, Community Partners

● Social Worker, Counselor, & Teacher, etc.

● HIDOE Liaisons

● Community partners supporting the same student population (food bank, health clinics, housing supports, libraries, enrichment programs)

WHEN: June- July 2021 West Kauai Schedule (Hours of Operation: 9am-12pm)

● June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and July 7th, 14th 21st - Salvation Army Hanapepe

● June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th - Salt Pond Beach Park

● June 4th, 18th, 25th and July 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd - Kekaha Boat Harbor

● July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd - Waimea State Recreation Pier
