Our kindergarten & school opened its doors to provide quality education to the highest standards. Our belief is that education is the art of raising better people who are prepared for challenges of the future. The school and preschool should be a place where children are accepted, respected and supported, according to everyone’s individual needs. Children are encouraged to discover their skills and creativity while developing a positive image of themselves.

We believe that each child is unique and has its own needs; this is why we come to meet everyone’s needs, encouraging them to develop their talents and skills.

Our institution is dedicated to the academical, social and emotional education process of each child. We consider that every various experience and a competitive, relaxed and homely educational environment are crucial to children’s development. In our institution our aim is the progress of each child, depending on their abilities, and during the learning process we try to cultivate the spirit of initiative, enthusiasm for learning, spontaneity, independence of thought, creative motivation, and freedom of expression.

KINDERGARTEN

The kindergarten welcomes children aged between 2 and 6. The groups/classes consist of 12 children, and are coordinated by experienced teachers.

During the entire schedule the teaching and conversation languages will be English or German.

The curriculum combines the ideas of Romanian pedagogy with alternative methods, in accordance with the innovative tendencies of the international curriculum. We also take into consideration, in the future, the introduction of an international teaching system, at the highest level, in the kindergarten as well as in school.

The teaching takes into account the objectives of the curriculum on one side, and of the psychological and emotional needs of children on the other side.

The teachers team consist of young professionals who respect the children’s personal feelings, give them responsibility, learn them how to behave as a dynamic, creative and leadership-skilled persons. Our desire is to lay the foundation in terms of knowledge and skills that children will acquire during all these years in terms of cognitive, emotional, social and psychomotric point of view

For parents who would like to vary children’s schedule we offer clubs with fees (ballet, karate, piano, canto, swimming, drama club, speed stacks).

CLUBS

Clubs are designed to teach children to communicate, develop their specific skills, to enrich their knowledge, learning through playing and training. We believe the personal, social and emotional development of children to be an important area in each child’s growth. Clubs are organized by category (arts, knowledge, training).

The places where the clubs take place are stimulating: the gym, courtyard, classroom. The activities of the clubs support the topics that were studied in the morning program focusing on strengthening the knowledge. Clubs are taught by specialist teachers using interactive teaching and evaluation methods (special experiments kits, video projector) helping each child to reach their maximum potential.

Science club is organized to offer your child the chance to explore the world. We’ll make experiments with air, water or ice, we’ll make the difference between solid and liquid materials or we’ll try to find out which materials float or which ones drawn. We’ll plant flower seeds and will follow their development.

Art & craft club offers children the opportunity to step in the world of colours, paper, glue and many more. We’ll work with pastels, textiles, playdough, paints, stamps, junk modeling, plastic, wood and the list can go on. Children will learn how to sew, braid or knit succeeding in making little bags, mufflers, flowers or lucky charms.

Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper. Children will learn how to create a glass, a hat, a plane or a boat. But we won’t stop here! We’ll also learn how to make boxes, envelops, bags, animals and dolls from paper. It’s a wonderful way to relax after a busy day.

In the Cooking club children will discover fruits, vegetables and all kind of food. We’ll learn all hygienic rules and how to use correctly the kitchenware. Children will wash and clean the ingredients, we’ll make fruit salad, funny sandwiches, biscuits, cheese-shaped little men or even pancakes with different forms, all with the help of an adult. Their “masterpieces” will be eaten as a snack and will make them satisfied to eat their “home-made” food.

Every Friday, children assemble in sport’s class, where little artistical moments take place and they are each granted a distinction (for example, star of the week).

SPORTS ACTIVITIES

Sport classes and movement offers children the possibility to develop harmoniously physical and emotional. Kindergarten children attend daily sport’s class, which take place in the playground (when the weather is fine) or indoors.

COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS

We believe that a child receives the best care when there is a permanent communication between the parents and the teachers responsible with the education. Please make sure that you let us know of every important aspects of the child’s health, diet, the person who will bring and pick up the child from the institution.

After registration, every child is provided with a Communication Book that will help the parent and the teacher to stay in touch daily. Parents will be informed about eventual progress or step-backs of the child, special achievements or quick notes about different issues. Parents are also encouraged to use this Communication Book for every message they want to send the teacher.

Each parent may sometimes have concerns about the child’s physical, intellectual or emotional development. Therefore it is important to constantly communicate with the person in charge. We will let parents know about al the child’s progress, through weekly reports, by daily telephone calls (at the request of parents) and by email. Also we organize regular meetings with parents.

Parents are invited to participate in activities within the institution, by prior telephone appointment. The activity log will be presented every 2 weeks, and at the end of each project an analysis of children's activities will be made.

Breakfast, snacks and lunch are prepared in our own kitchen every day from fresh ingredients chosen from carefully selected suppliers. The menu is varied and balanced, established by the pediatrician, following the principles of nutrition necessary for the children's growth and development. The medical office is authorized and equipped with all the necessary appliances for providing first aid.

SCHOOL

At Maria Kinder-Kids School, each student has the opportunity to develop harmoniously, receiving a complex education that provides their development on all levels. We offer an educational process based on the national curriculum, as well as on the process of learning English and German (which children will study alternatively, one hour each day). The school is in course of being authorized from the Ministry of Education and functions with Class 0 and Class 1. The school has developed as an alternative to public education and aims to preserve what is valuable and has proven efficent in time in the Romanian education system, but also to apply its own vision, in the advantage of the children of today.

AFTERSCHOOL

Within the Afterschool, Maria Kinder Kids offers children a specially tailored program based on warmth, caring, dedication and professionalism. They are supervised by a team of experienced teachers in a safe and relaxing atmosphere.

The program is held in a place special designed for their needs, with age appropriate resources and endowments.

The services we offer are:

SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer school starts on the 1st of July and ends on the 31st of August. Children between 2 and 10 years old are invited. They will spend an unforgettable summer with us with interesting and recreative activities.

List of fees (2013-2014 scholar year):

Kindergarten

Short schedule (8:00 to 12:30) - 300 € / month

Medium schedule (8:00 to 13:30) - 350 € / month

Extended hours (8:00 to 18:30) - 400 € / month

Afterschool

Afterschool (12:30-18:30) - 300 €/month .

School

Short schedule - 200 €/month;

School schedule + afterschool (8:00-18:30) - 350 €/month

Textbooks and other auxiliary fee, teaching materials, school supplies - 200 € / year (payable at registration)

School fee is paid monthly, in advance (during the first two weeks of the month) cash or in the SC MARIA KIDS KINDER GARTEN SRL account(in RON) at the BNR rate of the day.

For the 2013-2014 school year we offer 5% discount for the annual payment in advance and 3% for the semestrial payment in advance.

For the second child registrated you benefit of a 5% discount, and for the third registrated child you get a 10% discount.
