Preparing for Next Sunday Easter Sunday of

the Resurrection of the Lord The first reading is from the Acts of the Apostles, where we hear Saint Peter preaching about the Resurrection as the source of eternal life. In the second reading, Paul addresses the Colossians and reminds them that, because of Christ’s Resurrection, their faithfulness to Jesus and living according to his teaching will result in eternal life with him. In the Gospel, Saint John recounts the events of Easter Sunday – the finding of the empty tomb.

Holy Land Good Friday Collection

On Good Friday, our parish will take up the annual collection for the Holy Land. This collection is not only to protect the Holy Places and Christian Shrines but also for pastoral, charitable, educational and social works which the Church supports in the Holy Land. The continued financial support through this collection enables the vital presence and ministry of the Church to continue in this historic, troubled and holy part of the world.

El Viernes Santo, nuestra parroquia hará la colecta anual para el sostenimiento de los Santos Lugares de Tierra Santa. Esta colecta no es solamente para proteger esos Santos Lugares y Santuarios Cristianos, sino que sirven también para las obras pastorales, caritativas, educativas y sociales que dirige y apoya la Iglesia en Tierra Santa. La colaboración económica continua que se hace con esta colecta permite que la presencia vital y el ministerio de la Iglesia sigan en esta parte del mundo tan histórica, tan emproblemada y tan santa.

Sponsors Meeting - Spring Confirmation II sponsors meeting will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 2:45 PM in the Parish Hall. After the meeting, sponsors and candidates will attend the 5:00 PM Mass. If the sponsors are not able to attend, the parents may substitute in their absence. Second Thursday Session and Meeting Confirmation II candidates Gifts of the Holy Spirit session will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Confirmation II parents meeting will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 8:00 PM in the Parish Hall. If the parents are not able to attend, the sponsor may substitute. Please do not bring small children. Adore: Good Talk Series The parish community is invited to join the Confirmation II candidates at Adore: Good Talk Series. This is the last opportunity for the semester.
