Eventually, his stellar intelligence in mathematics and his boundless confidence in both attract the attention of the noted British mathematics professor, G.H. Hardy, who invites him to further develop his computations at Trinity College at Cambridge. THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY

Starring Jeremy Irons and Dev Patel In the 1910s, Srinivasa Ramanujan is a man of boundless intelligence that even the abject poverty of his home in Madras, India cannot crush. Suz & Gary Mahler After forty years of moving around the U.S. and Gary’s retirement in 2013, we decided to shop around for a place to settle down. A place that offered a warm climate, good medical care and close proximity to a sizeable airport were our priorities. We had already visited a couple communities in Texas and were planning to check out New Mexico, the Carolinas and Tennessee in addition to Arizona. In February 2014 we traveled to Tucson for a ten day visit. On the third day Gary had a medical emergency requiring surgery. The medical staff at Oro Valley hospital was exceptional and the surgeon even volunteered to come in on a Saturday so we could resume our vacation schedule. How often do you get that kind of service? We were immediately sold on Tucson as a place where we could get good medical care. The warm climate and beautifu l scenery were also strong factors! We returned to Ohio and experienced many days of sub-zero temperatures – Ohio seemed to be saying “get out while you can”. So much for the other possible

locations - we were Tucson bound! In the summer of 2014 we sold our home, a lot of furniture and belongings (still brought way too much!) and drove our overstuffed car to a rented condo in Oro Valley with intentions to build a home at SaddleBrooke Ranch. Our daughter wanted us to check out the “just starting” Del Webb community at Dove Mountain. We initia lly thought it was geographically “too far” from everything but after a few visits we found the drive up Dove Mountain Blvd was very pleasing and the quiet serenity and desert beauty really sealed the deal. We also realized the attractions of downtown are only a few minutes away and access to I-10 makes other destinations very attainable. When we purchased our lot in October it was the 34th lot sold. The community and recreation center have developed as promised and DWDM is now a vibrant and welcoming place. We enjoy the beautifu l Saguaro Center nearly every day as well as the many community activities - and we’re always eager to meet new neighbors!

NEWS & INFORMATIONLANDSCAPING ANNOUNCEMENTArizona Grass InformationBermuda grass is grown in the Tucson area in summer. It can take the desert’s hottest weather as long as it has sufficient water. During winter it is dormant, meaning that it is yellow and appears dead. Rye grass is grown in the Tucson area in winter. Since Rye does not survive the summer, it needs to be replanted every fall, in the middle of October. Rye grass stays a lustrous dark green until the middle of May, when it quickly dies off as temperatures approach 100 degrees Fahrenheit. To prepare the Bermuda grass for overseeding it needs to be scalped as short as possible without actually digging it up. Seeding is the next step, then fertilizer then watering. Water is critical! With that being said, AAA Landscape has started the scalping process for the Saguaro Center grassy areas and parks! We will maintain a moist seedbed for a period of seven to ten days to allow the seed to germinate. We will be watering 4 to 5 times per day for very short cycles. After the seed has germinated and grown to a height of 3⁄4” to 1”, we will reduce watering to 2-3 times per day. After ten to fourteen days, we will reduce watering. Please stay off the grassy areas during the 10- day watering period.
