The PTA has another exciting year planned for you! But before we tell you all of the exciting events in store for our children and families this year, let’s recap what amazing year we just had.
Because of your support last year, the PTA was able to provide so many exciting programs for our children and families! Some of the events that were made possible due to your support were: Diggery Do Asssembly, A+ Celebra-tion, Boo Hoo Breakfast, Teacher Welcome Back Break-fast, Reflections Art Program, Student of the Month cele-brations/awards, Red Ribbon Week, Mini Marathon, Bike Rodeo, Field Day…WE CAN ADD MORE….
Not only were we able to provide all of these wonderful programs last year, but because of your generosity and the careful planning of our budget, we were able to present a check to Panther Run Elementary for $3,000.00! This money will be used to support academic programs and to purchase supplies and hardware/software for the school. In this critical time of budget cuts and lack of school fund-ing, this money was greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference at our school. Thank you!
Our major source of funding for all of these amazing pro-grams is our FALL FUNDRAISER. Without your participa-tion in the fundraiser, none of this would be possible. We just kicked off this year’s fundraiser with a catalog sale that began on 9/20/10 and runs through 10/12/10.
Please support our school and allow us to have another fun-filled year by purchasing items or helping your child
sell to friends and family.
We have tons of exciting prizes and Ms. Saef has agreed to be SLIMED if we reach our fundraising goal! Watch the slime-o-meter in the cafeteria to track our progress! The PTA is also offering BONUS PRIZES in addition to the fundraiser prizes and they include a Nickelodeon Slime themed Netbook PC, cotton candy machine, personal DVD player, bling jelly rings, paper guitar, Pillow Pets, cans of slime, lunch with the Prin-cipal, and exciting class parties that include $100 in Scholastic Books, Ms. Saef visiting your class on a tricycle, and Mr. Jenkins visiting your class with his clothes on backwards!

Book Fair– Volunteers needed throughout each day, Mon 10/11 – Fri 10/15, to help the children with their book selections.
Bike Rodeo- 15+ volunteers needed on Saturday 11/6, from 7:30 a.m—1:00 p.m. Stay all day, or shifts available: Set-up 7:30-9:00 a.m.; assist with games/activities & food sales from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; and clean-up at 12 p.m.
