loved ones)• Artists have used food imagery for inspiration

for hundreds of years• We all need to eat!

How we’ll begin• You’ll pick a fruit or vegetable randomly from a box.

– You can trade with a friend if you both agree!• Begin building the armature out of newspaper and tape.

Cardboard will be available for sharp or flat edges (5 classes)– Simple fruits and vegetables need to look INTERACTED with somehow

(sliced, bitten etc)– Complex fruits & vegetables include broccoli, artichokes, asparagus

(multiple spears only). • Once it’s built, you will papier mache the form so it’s solid and

finished looking (3 classes)• Painting! 90% mixed colors from Primary colors (and black &

white) (4 classes)

Next:

• Tomorrow: – We’ll create a basic color wheel and practice

mixing colors (2 days)– Choose your fruit/vegetable (randomly picked)

• Turn in your notes at the end of class to the FRONT BOX
