OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AUTRALIA STUDENT AWARD 2
Introduction The ACT Divisional Council invites students to apply for this award. The award winner will receive a New Graduate Membership. Frequency The Award is available on an annual basis.
Eligibility • Applicants must have academic grades of a Credit average or above
• Applicants must be eligible for graduation in 2018
• Demonstrated commitment to the local community (ie activities such as volunteering, sports, arts etc)
• Exemplary support of the profession of occupational therapy
Selection Criteria • Applications must include academic transcripts
• Evidence of community involvement to be provided. This may include a membership number, certificate of appreciation, volunteer acknowledgement documents, etc.
• Applications must also include evidence of supporting the occupational therapy profession (eg. Member of OTA, attending profession specific events, interaction with OTA or OTA representatives)
• All applicants must also submit one reference in support of their application
• Late applications will not be accepted
Selection Process • The student must be eligible for graduation in 2018
• All applications received by June 30 2018 will be reviewed by the ACT Divisional Council
• The award winner will be selected based on the application and reference only
• Membership will become activated once AHPRA registration number is provided
• Award winner and all applicants will be advised by July 31 2018 of the success of their application.
• Award winner will be required to submit a small bio and picture to be used for OTA publications such as e-nOTices and Connections.
Timelines Applications Due: 30 June 2018
Winners and unsuccessful Applicants notified: 31 July 2018
