-Therefore, I decided to change from Street Performers to moreprofessional performers and such as it isnt very different to myinitial idea.

FRANCIS GALTON
Alphonse was a police officer who devised this technique to keep records of the prisoners held.
Focusing on Facial features to create a profile of person.
Used for distinguishing those who are different from the average through comparison.
I want to create profile of my subject in the studio to add a contemporary touch.
I want to use this idea to create profile of my subject but with added emotions on top of the anthropometricalstudy of the subjects facial features.

CONCLUSION FROM RESEARCH
Studio portrait
Like the idea of having an interesting body language, pose.
Usage of one light source to create high level of contrast(Rembrandt), adding the element of mystery and of theunknown.
Having neutral background.
Just the subject with their clothing, stance and appearanceto tell the story.
In colour for a contemporary touch and to complement theexpression of the subject.Profile of a Subject
I want to create photographs that are expressive and saysomething rather than being solely for the purpose ofanthropometrics. > Therefore, less of an anthropometricalstudy.
Clothing such as hats still on.
Usage of one light source to create high level of contrast(Rembrandt) with the triangle.
Having neutral background.
Black and White as it is going to focussed on the facial
features. Therefore, the tones would be much moreinteresting.

SELF EVALUATION
Object and Body
Representation is what Photography is and it can be very powerful as well as problematic. Tome, representing someone or something means to show it through my perception and what Ibelieve to be is true. For my Body unit, I wanted to portray the subjects in such manner that itbrought out their strongest characteristic or personality.
My research for the Body part to me seems quite narrow and focussed as I knew what I wanted atthe end. For my Object unit, my ideas werent as clear from the start but I got to develop it as Idid my researches and eventually came up with a visual concept which I then translated into atest shoot.
My photographic choices for the body unit was influenced by the reference images from myresearches and I was able to produce similar images through the knowledge and skill I learnedfrom workshops. For the still life, the choices I made were again, heavily influenced by theresearch on paintings and photographs and my visual imagery as a result of those research.
Although I have managed to produce the work required, I still believe that I could have done thisbetter with a much more intensive and in-depth research into art movements such as Surrealismand also contemporary Still Life paintings.
I made usage of books on different Artists and Photographers alongside the Internet which I ampleased with but I would like to expand more on this and make this a habit. Also I would like tolook into different medias such as Music, Films, Sculptures and so on to have more inspirationsand motivations.
The most significant challenge in this unit has been the planning and organising of time. It wasvery tight towards the end for printing.
