Social Media Toolkit To engage with Congress to advance the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act (OAA), we’ve created this social media toolkit containing sample Facebook and Twitter posts and images that you can use as is, customize for your agency, or use as inspiration to create your own!

Note: Items with yellow highlighting require customization for your state or agency. We strongly recommend you customize our grassroots alert for YOUR local networks, post it online and then share that link in all your social media outreach. You can also make a link to your letter on reauthorization to your Members of Congress! (Our template will save you time and energy!)

Most tweets can only contain 280 characters or fewer, so choose your words carefully.

Photos or images don’t count toward that limit and help your tweet stand out.

Try to include the #OlderAmericansAct and #ReauthorizeOAA hashtags if you have space; that helps create a conversation with other stakeholders.
