Austria and especially Vienna play a very special role in the mobile world. This is because Austrian businessmen recognised the incredible force of the mobile revolution at a very early stage and acted accordingly. By focusing on these new technologies, they have laid the foundations for Vienna’s international reputation in this field.
60,000 Employees in 5,000 companies, who together generate revenue of around 20 billion euros, are working every day to drive the mobile revolution forward, to develop new technologies and to open up new fields of business activity. And yet there is still a lot of ground to cover: new start-ups are founded in Vienna on a daily basis which are backed by young and innovative entrepreneurs who are already securing the successful future of the ICT site in Vienna.
