Life Guard Beach Safety Talk
Next Monday, 5 August we will have a visit from the Coffs
Harbour City Council Lifeguard Service to discuss beach
and water safety. This is a free service and will cover such
topics as sun safety, general surf safety, river creek and
dam safety, first aid and what to do if you need to be
rescued.
Education Week Activities (Open Day
& Talent Quest)
Education Week is a state wide, annual
event, held during the first week of
August, to celebrate NSW public
education. The theme for 2019 is 'Every Student, Every
Voice'. It is a celebration of student empowerment and
how the NSW public education system gives students the
skills they need in order to have and express a voice
during their own educational journey and as engaged
global citizens. This year we will be holding an Open Day
in conjunction with our Talent Quest.
The Open Day will commence at 11am. We invite parents
and families to come into the classrooms and discover the
wonderful activities that their child participates in each
day. We will then have a short break for lunch (please
bring a picnic lunch to share with your child if you wish)
and then we will commence our Talent Quest. Children
and parents are invited to perform. The show will start at
1.30pm until 2.45pm. A sign on sheet is located in the
office foyer. We look forward to seeing as many family
members visiting our wonderful school and supporting
our students.
Small Schools Big Impact (SSBI) Concert
On Wednesday 28 August, the SSBI concert will be held at
the Saraton Theatre in Grafton. This concert is a great
showcase for our small schools. The students will be
performing their eisteddfod item ‘Can’t Touch This’. A
permission note and information is attached to the
newsletter. Please note: If you would like to pre-order
tickets, please let the school know by TOMORROW.
Payment is not necessary immediately.
