Additional Recreational Information

• NY is proposing to eliminate the special striped bass Party/Charter permit.

• For-hire vessels would fish on the regular Party/Charter permit.

• Everyone needs to report landings of all species caught on trip report forms.

3.3.2 Commercial Size Limits

• Option B: All areas will maintain a 28 inch minimum size limit for the commercial fishery, except the CB (18 inch minimum), Albemarle Sound (18 inch minimum), and Delaware Bay shad gillnet fishery for Delaware (20 inch minimum).

equivalency) = 730,920 lbs.• Catching 28” minimum size would require gear

change (increase in gill net mesh size from current 6” minimum, stretched mesh, inside measure, throughout the net , to 6.25 or 6.5” minimum mesh size).
