WHAT IS NUSS SPEECHCRAFT?
• Speechcraft is a course designed by
Toastmasters International to share
effective communication and presentation
skills;
• An annual Speechcraft Workshop proudly
organized by the NUSS Toastmasters Club.
• Exclusively for the NUSS Members and New
Members of the NUSS Toastmasters Club.
• To achieve a quantum leap in Public
Speaking in 4 learning and practical
sessions.
NUSS SPEECHCRAFT SPEAKERS
• Chung Wei believes that strong public speaking skills is a derivative of both nature and
nurture. With respect to the latter, much can be done by everyone to train themselves to
achieve their potential in public speaking.
• NUSS Toastmasters club has helped him to improve his speaking skills significantly.
• For the term 2010/2011, he was appointed to be the Area Z1 Governor of District 80 of
Toastmasters International. During that period, he was also elected as the President of the
NUSS Toastmasters Club. Lim Chung Wei, ACB
Richard Sng, DTM
• Richard Sng is a language coach, as well as a vocal and verbal image consultant and corporate
trainer.
• He is the author of the book “Wriggle, Wrestle, Wrangle with Words” – a rich resource for
executives, professionals, speakers and trainers.
• He has attained the highest award, Distinguished Toastmaster ( DTM ), bestowed by
Toastmasters International, U.S.A. A very much sought-after Language Evaluator, he gets
invited regularly to numerous Toastmasters clubs all over Singapore, evaluating the creative
use, misuse, abuse and overuse of the English language.
Wong Kok Wah, ACG CL
• Kok Wah is a professional Career Counsellor / Coach.
• He provides career counselling & coaching services to students, undergraduates and working
executives and professionals. He conducts career development & transitioning workshops for
corporate and organisations.
• He has competed at many Toastmasters International Speech Contests at District 80 for
Humorous Speech & Speech Evaluation Contests.
• He was appointed Area Z1 Governor of District 80, Toastmasters International for the term
2005-2006.

Dr. Fong Khai Seck, CC
Stanley Chen, ACS ALS
• Stanley was elected as the Division Z Governor of District 80 of Toastmasters International for
the term 2008-2009.
• He was appointed as the Learning Master for Region 14 by Toastmasters International to share
his learning experience with the Toastmasters and contribute input to what they like to see in
the Revitalized Educational Program (REP).
• He was elected to be the President of NUSS Toastmasters Club for the term 2007-2008 and he
is presently the Club Advisor of NUSS Toastmasters Club.
Darren Tay, ACG ALB
• Darren is the Master Trainer and Founder of Public Speaking Academy.
• He is the Best-Selling Author of the book “Express to Impress”.
• He is an award-winning competitor, he has represented Singapore in International
Negotiations Competition 2014.
• He is the youngest District 80 Champion who has won 7 Championship in various International
Speech . Speech Evaluation and Table Topics Contests .
• Darren received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB.B.Hons) from the NUS, Faculty of Law in 2014 and
his Master of Laws (LL.M) in 2015.
• Khai Seck runs a manufacturing business. • He graduated with honours and an MBA from the NUS and received his doctorate from the
Graduate School of Management at UWA. • He was elected Vice-President (Public Relations) of NUSS Toastmasters Club for the term
2015-2016. • He participated actively in the Club’s activities. To hone his public speaking skills, he
volunteered as Emcee for major events like the NUSS Professorship Lecture Series and the NUSS Toastmasters Club 11th Anniversary Dinner.
NUSS SPEECHCRAFT SPEAKERS
• Joseph is presently working as the Director of Boarding at Hwa Chong Institution Boarding
School.
• He graduated with the Doctor of Education from the University of Western Australia Graduate
School of Education.
• He joined the NUSS Speechcraft 2015 and joined the club as a Toastmasters. He completed
his Competent Communicator Award in 10 months.
• He was elected as Vice-President (Membership) of NUSS Toastmasters Club for the term 2015-
2016. He actively volunteered to organized events such as our 11th Anniversary dinner and he
participated in the Humorous Speech & International Speech Contests to hone his public
speaking skills.

Robert Chen, ACB ALB
• Robert was appointed as the Area Director of District 80 of Toastmasters International for
the term 2015-2016.
• He is a business owner providing temporary office space.
• He was elected to be the President of NUSS Toastmasters Club for the term 2012-2013.
