Labs play a key role in any science class offered at Millard South. "In labs, you get more of a hands on feel of what the concept you are learning is about," Senior Ashley Morrison said when asked about the importance of labs. Science classes can be difficult for anyone, but the labs can make them more fun and interactive. "I don't have a favorite lab," Senior Wenxian Zhou said. "I like all of the labs I do." Morrison, however, states that the qualitative analysis lab in chemistry was her favorite lab that she has done. While labs can be fun, they can be very challenging in some cases. "Following the exact procedure can be difficult sometimes," Zhou said. "Trying to get the experiment to do exactly what you want it to do is the hardest thing about doing labs," Morrison said. Both seniors plan on going farther in science after high school. Zhou plans on attending medical school after college, while Morrison plans on double majoring in chemistry and history. "I love both, so I want to learn the history of science," Morrison said. What do you think of dissections?
