Ptolemy’s geocentric model (2nd century A.D.)
• The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not move.• The Sun, the Moon and the planets move around the Earth in circular movements.• The stars are fixed in a far away sphere which moves around the Earth.
![Page 3: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
Copernicus’s heliocentric model (16th century A. D.)
• The Sun is at the centre of the universe and it does not move.• The Earth rotates on its own axis and the Moon revolves around it.• The Earth and the rest of the planets revolve around the Sun at different
speeds and in concentric circles.• The sphere of stars that surrounds this system does not move.

![Page 7: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
![Page 8: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
![Page 9: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
![Page 10: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
![Page 11: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)

![Page 34: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/34.jpg)
efecto Doppler
![Page 35: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/35.jpg)

![Page 37: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/37.jpg)
LA RADIACIÓN CÓSMICA DE FONDO
![Page 38: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/38.jpg)
![Page 39: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/39.jpg)
Big Chill
![Page 40: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/40.jpg)
![Page 41: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/41.jpg)
Big Rip
![Page 42: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/42.jpg)
El futuro del Universo
A. Big Crunch (Gran contracción)
B. Big Chill (Gran enfriamiento)
C. Big Rip (Gran desgarramiento)
![Page 43: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/43.jpg)
![Page 44: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/44.jpg)
![Page 45: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/45.jpg)
![Page 46: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/46.jpg)
![Page 47: NUESTRO LUGAR EN EL UNIVERSO. Ptolemys geocentric model (2nd century A.D.) The Earth is at the centre of the Universe, it is spherical and it does not](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081518/54a3996ea95467c30c8b4d33/html5/thumbnails/47.jpg)
