DESCRIPTION

The concept of Nuclear Energy was discovered ages back. But with nuclear energy and its use came nuclear waste. In this presentation I have mentioned about the Nuclear Waste, its past and its future. Some conventional ways of using Nuclear energy have also been mentioned. PS - The poems are written by me.

"While walking on this road,I would like to show you,A peaceful town,Where nature wears its crown,Where there is peace,And no one likes to frown,But soon we'll reach,A place so dead,Where everything is brown,And where the nature always,Wears its night gown." -Nimish Jaitapkar

"I used to be a nuclear plant,And every day a heavy load of smoke,I used to chant,But one fine day my reactor broke,Since then they've left me to choke,Now all I see is a big stack,Hey! Can you please take that back? They cause head ache and puke,Yes they are the wastes of nuke,They've been here for 100 years,But no one ever came back to see my tears." -Nimish Jaitapkar

"There were factories,There were plants,But the human need always rants,They wanted more and more,For which this earth they tore,

And here I'm today,A nuclear power city,Not far not away." -Nimish Jaitapkar

what is a nuclear reaction?

The process in which two nuclei, or else a nucleus of an atom and a subatomic particle (such as a proton, neutron, or high energy electron) from outside the atom, collide to

produce products different from the initial particles.

Nuclear Energy Used for Generating Power

Currently only 13-14% of the world’s electricity is produced using Nuclear Fission

How does nuclear waste look like?

It can be anything like :SolidLiquidGas

by products of Nuclear fission

• The by products of Nuclear Fission have a half life ranging from 30 years to 211,100 years• Half life = 30 years = Very Dangerous whereas Half Life = 211,100 years = Not Dangerous.• Iodine Isotopes• Caesium Isotopes • Strontium Isotopes

Nuclear weapons were only used twice in thehistory of this world.6 August 1945 – Hiroshima9 August 1945 – Nagasaki Total Number of Deaths – 246,000 peopleAmount of Nuclear Waste Created - 20,000 tons

Nuclear Fusion•Ever thought of going to Jupiter or Saturn and staying there?•Nuclear Fusion run space crafts can just help you with this•Due to the never ending reaction it can just go on and on

Page 14: Nuclear Waste

Nuclear Fusion Power Plant•Nuclear Fusion is one reaction that can go on for a long

time•It can produce a lot of energy•If brought into use the world consumption of power will increase by 100 percent

Page 15: Nuclear Waste

Lets not forget

antimatter•Antimatter can also produce a lot energy due to the collision with matter•Thus space crafts and power plants can also be made with the help of antimatter reactor
