THE PLAYERS

He started doing music production since 1984 and became the finalist in various World Song competition including three ABU World Song Festival (TV3/Malaysia Airlines) held in KL (’86, ‘87

and ’90), 2nd place in The World Peace Song Festival 1988. Won two AIM award in 1996 in the “Song of the Year” category, for the song titled, ‘Jentayu’ and as the producer for Nora’s album

titled ‘Kirana’ in 2003. He had composed and wrote more than 500 songs & lyrics to

date including songs like ‘Sinaran’ , ‘Warna’ , ‘Gemilang’, ‘Ratu’ -Sheila Majid (’86 –2000), ‘Akhirnya Kini Pasti’ Anita Sarawak

(Singapore) (’89),’Jangan Biarkan’ – Kris Dayanti (Indonesia), ‘You can Run away’ – Nora (99) for the Australian Tourist

Commission promotion campaign, ‘Le-Tour De Langkawi’ (’95) – The Nation’s Annual International Bicycle Race and ‘Love’-Jaclyn

Victor –The Malaysian Idol Champion (2005). The song Instrumental version of ‘Sinaran’ was later reproduced by Dave

Koz in 1998. He was invited as guest speaker by MTV Asia for the topic

“music.com” along with Dato’ Tony Fernandes and Andreas Wuerfel (BTN) at The Asia Music Conference in Singapore in 2000

. He is also an active council member of The Persatuan Akademi Industri Muzik Malaysia (Akademi) and an honorary member of

MACP

Kamal Ishak is a former student of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar and

a Marketing Graduate from Northern Illinois University USA has a diversified career path particularly which involves creativity and marketing expertise. He has more than 15 years corporate and

entrepreneurial experience in the field of

music production and distribution, media publishing, events management, online and mobile interactive services, content and management and aggregating systems, and product marketing

and sales.

His biggest strength is being able to analyze coming trends in the Digital Media Business and formulates a plan on how to plant

a foothold in the business as it comes.

He also ventured into becoming a singer cutting two albums to his name. The first album was released under the name of

‘Kamal’ in 1991. and sold more than 30,000 copies nationwide

In 1992 another album was released titled ‘Jalanan Berduri’ under his own recording company called Noize Music Sdn Bhd. He was also a Marketing Director of Noize Muzic Sdn Bhd which was

not only producing local records but importing international labels at the same time.

He currently holds office in various companies whose main activities comprise of Power Generation and Transmission,

Telecommunication Projects, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing of Injection Plastic Items and Metal

Based Products, General Trading as well as Property Development.

He is also the Chairman of: HG Corporation Sdn. Bhd / HG Power

Transmission Sdn. Bhd. and the Managing Director of: Pintar Teknologi Sdn. Bhd, / Pintar Teknologi-Bumiasia JV Sdn. Bhd /

Pintar-Percon-HG Corp JV Sdn. Bhd.

He is a charted accountant and is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and also a fellow of the Chartered

Association of Certified Accountants (UK). He has 4 years working experience in a public audit firm where

he began his career and has 20 years experience as Senior Accountant with a major plantation company, specializing in financial management, treasury management as well as tax

planning.
