I am delighted to address you through the joint newsletter of RT and LC India.

Firstly I would like to congratulate National Secretaries Piyush Daga and Nidhi Gupta for this joint initiative.

The first quarter has gone by, filled with some intense Tabling st

activities across the country. Started with the 1 NEx Meeting in Goa, Table AGMs, Area AGMs, World Meet in Estonia.

Over 30 new FTE Projects, Charity Movie Show for over 14000 children across the Country, Independence day celebrations feeding over 70,000 children across the Country, Flights of Fantasy for 500 children from 22 Cities to Agra, Tie up with new CSR Partners Bajaj Auto, HCL Foundation and Bookmyshow, AEX Meetings, National AGM of 41 Clubs of India, Charters 6 new Tables, Flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in Assam, Bihar, West Bengal and North Gujarat, hundreds of Community service activities… loads of Fellowship events… visit of RT International President, so on and so forth…

Many many congratulations to all the Tables across RT India for a truly amazing quarter gone by. We truly United in Service for mankind and let's be proud of it :)

thThe icing on the cake of course was Dandanakka, the 56 National AGM of Round Table India hosted by the City Tables of Coimbatore that had representation from 175 Tables!!!

However there two serious concerns namely - non adherence to time and lack of quorum in the business sessions that eventually led to an incomplete NAGM. This was a collective failure of the Leadership and the Floor of Round Table India. This is definitely something that we as Tablers have to think about.

We definitely need to change our culture of taking time for granted and also change our casual attitude towards business sessions of NAGM.

I do hope that this experience becomes food for thought that will bring about positive changes in the days ahead.

49th NAGM will surely go down in the history with cherished moments between the legends , National Board & the floor of LC India! We had a successful & productive Day -2 NAGM Session with brilliant quarter report by NS Nidhi, good decisions taken by the floor for betterment of the organisation, LCI MTM 2019 to be hosted at Kolkatta , Wonderful intro of the Team 2018-19!Distribution of the awards & recognitions of Bond year 2016-17 gone by , were the highlights of the day ! We also signed MOU with Tanget India for better support & understanding .

The month of September has been an eventful month with time flying off in a gist with Nagm preparations,planning & execution therefore.

Our National AGM Dandanaka was a 3 night 3 day extravaganza.Started off with instant registration & check in at arrival.fast track service v had!After which the well conceptualized decor Chocolicious 2nd nex of Ladies circle India.Evening was about the House party...in Area 7 with 7 parties in vibgyor colours....

Day 1 National AGM session.....where we wore fairy lights and shared our final celebrations..In honour of PRESIDENT PRACHIs year we felicitated her over a *high tea..*Change Over Banquet* over a Gala Dinner .It was an extraordinary banquet side by side with Round Table change over and awards.

*Day 2 National AGM*...where the new president VEDA presided.President Elect which is me the VP introduced my team.The 18-19 team lauch where v believed in wonders with our wonder gals dancing and getting introduced in Desi style along side our NS elect Nidhi Karnanis' team intro video was a gala experience.

The finale party Equinox was the icing on the cake where everyone unwinded to edm & Bolly hip pop DJ music till wee hours of morning..The food which had over 5 states cuisine was a gastronomic treat.Enjoyed meeting old friends and made new over the 3 fun filed days!

Appreciate Dandanaka team under the able leadership of Vishnu,Chirag,Shalaka ND Kirtana for giving us a fab time.kudos guys!We had 2 hosts from Our country who came forward to host the LCI APAC region MTM happeing in India & CCLC 27

were nominated by the floor of the Nagm to host it in Kolkoata.

Our Vadodara ladies are all set and had their circle,VVLC inauguration on 2nd October at Baroda.This is going to be very special as its the 1st one kick started inauguration for the academic year.Thank VVLC 210 tablers for the support.

Appreciate table Chairmen accross the country for coming up with extension proposals for their circles which is giving us numerous extensions this year.

Happy to introduce "EXTENSION CHAMPION STAR " ;a recognition for tablers & circlers who have excelled in their work & have gone beyond their way

Warm and Festive greetings to all of you.

We are all back from a splendid and grand National AGM. Many Many Congratulations toTeam Dandanakka for giving us memories to cherish forever. Thank you Ashita and LC 85 for giving us a dream Nex. The hall looked like a scene straight out M&Ms world and the kind of pains taken in curating all the decor personally by Cr.Ashita gave it the special touch. I have no words to express my gratitude towards Cr.Keerthana and Cr.Shalaka. The flow of all our business sessions were super smooth thanks to their organised arrangements.

The business sessions were handled with utmost responsibility by the circles incharge .A big thank you to the circlers of CMLC 23 and CCLC 16 for assuring that there was quorum at all times , for helping us maintain decorum and for dedicatedly helping us during the NAGM proceedings.The Presidents Tea – An evening of elegance for our IPP Cr.Prachi – saw us all adorned in Laces and Pearls. A Vintage set up with every minutest detail taken care of by Cr.Shivani Dalmia had all of us in awe of the evening.

Time passes by, situations change but the spirit of our Past Presidents have have maintained on a high for years and years. It was lovely to see the gliteratti and the legends of Ladies Circle India at ODYSSEY-A Salute To Our Legends. Kudos to Cr.Minal and Cr.Meghana for giving us an event to remember. A moment which will go down in the history of LC India. The COB night as named was truly A Golden Affair. Red Carpet it should have been and Red Carpet it was. The Grandeur amidst which Tr.Chris and Cr.Veda took over the highest mantles in RT and Lc India respectively , was definitely a notch more than what they must have imagined their event to be.

Tr.Vishnu, Tr.Chirag ,Tr.Vikas, Tr.Amol , Tablers and Circlers of Coimbatore – this NAGM has been a dream come true for all the efforts you have put in. The 1 and a half years of all your hard work had truly paid off in glittering colours. Gratitude to all of you for giving us such a wonderful experience. he unmatched hospitality ,The meticulous planning and the Razzmatazz arrangements have definitely created joyous moments for us which are going to become everlasting memories.

SHIVANI DALMIAOne of the main qualities that sets a woman apart from a man is the love for attention and pampering.. so it was only befitting on behalf of the Ladies Circle India family to host IPP Cr Prachi an elaborate Vintage Tea party!! In sync with her love for simplicity in style.the dress code was laces and pearls. The evening was graced by the presence of all her well wishers... including both her moms, her beautiful daughters, NEX members from the Bond and Happy team and visiting circlers. We kickstarted the evening with a beautiful presentation made by Sq.Leg Prashant as a surprise for his Prezi wife! It was a celebration of her successful year in office with pictures from all her travels. Heart warming messages from near and dear ones... from within the Circling family and some from outside completed the video.The evening progressed with the circlers of Coimbatore dancing to some of IPP Cr Prachi’s favourite vintage Bollywood tracks. Their moves and grooves had everyone on their feet! To satiate our need to be naughty and dig deeper into personal bedroom secrets 12 circlers had the opportunity to ask the IPP anything they wished... the 12-1 bonding did manage to quench some of our

ODYSSEY - A SALUTE TO THE LEGENDSCr. MINAL SHROFF & Cr. MEGHNA KHONA

LADIES CIRCLE - where little girls with dreams become women with visions! Our illustrious organisation was born in COIMBATORE as LC 1, as a result of the hard work and passion of the wives of Tablers of Coimbatore RT 9. The NAGM in the birth place of Ladies Circle was therefore the perfect opportunity to pay our respects and tribute to the visionaries. Thus was incepted ‘ODYSSEY- Salute To Our Legends.’The event began with a beautiful invocation dance by our own Twinklers and choreographed by Cr. Lavanya Shankar from CMLC 23. We had Past Cr.Reeba Cherian from Coonoor rendering the Ladies Circle India song, which got us all very emotional! The aura created in the hall was something that one can only experience, but can’t express in words! Then came the special children from Cheshire Home, dancing to ‘Jai Ho’. Theirs was truly a dance to mark the celebration of life, for they couldn’t hear the song, but felt the rhythm better than any of us could! It left most of us teary-eyed and our hearts were Our Past Presidents were given a befitting memento by our Happy President Cr. Veda Bestin - the tricolour Jewel with their Picture, Name, Year and their theme for the year as President of LC India. Our Past Presidents, in turn, made a generous contribution towards the LC India Trust for our E2E projects.It was a privilege to have our charter President Mrs.Sashi Gulati and all 3 Past Presidents of LC International from India, Mrs. Sabita Chandran, Mrs. Ashwini Surendar and Mrs. Seetha Venkatesh with us. Our stalwarts are no less than any women achievers in our country, and this was beautifully depicted in the AV presentation portraying the glorious 5 decades of our movement! Odyssey was indeed a star-studded event, inspiring us to pick up our wings and soar high, and yet remain connected to the roots of the organisation! It was a perfect celebration of the very essence of Circling

Dear Friends,

It was a momentous day when BookMyShow, through their Bookasmile initiative, decided to do a mega Flight of Fantasy with Round Table India. It was a huge project and nothing of this magnitude had ever been attempted in the history of RTI!!! Can u imagine 500 kids, who have never flown in an aero plane before, from over 22 cities covering the length and breadth of India converging at Delhi on a single day? Children with dreams in their heads about the beautiful Taj Mahal they were going to see later, kids who had probably never travelled out of their villages flying to the capital of the nation….what an experience.

The feeling was extra special as we got to host many specially abled kids for whom the experience was much more than a plane ride. For these kids to get a chance to take part in such a program where they could meet and interact with children from diverse cultures and regions of India was an exercise that would help build their confidence and strengthen them to cope with the vagaries of life.

At the outset I would like to thank our National president Tr Christopher for having the confidence in me to manage an event of this scale and magnitude. Believe me friends taking the responsibility of overseeing the arrival, stay and departure of 500 children is a daunting task and till the event got over I was still in doubt whether I would be able to pull it off.

The planning of the event started months in advance and thanks to Tr Vickaash and Tr Rajat for helping the seamless communication between Book My Show and RTI. Believe me friends its not an easy task doing things the “corporate” way but team work ensured that we managed to do it up to the expectations of our donor. The ticketing process was one of the most time taking tasks and I would like to thank Tr Zaheer who was the man behind the show seamlessly managing the entire show. My trouble shooting partner NPC Tr Moriya was there through out with me right from the planning stage till the final execution of the event.

The backend preparation was superbly handled by my partners in crime Tr Piyush Gehlot and Tr Ashish Patwari. Both my co-conveners ensured that all the preparation was upto the mark and we were 100% prepared for the big day. Not a single child was without proper ID or permission letters or any other documentation that might hamper the flow of the event. The follow up with respective area conveners was relentless till all the required data was compiled to everybodies satisfaction. Hats off to Piyush and Ashish!!!

The big day finally arrives….27th September 2017 and a whole army of volunteers is spread across Delhi and Agra to ensure each critical post is manned and managed. Heartfelt gratitude to the 40 tablers of Area 5 who rose to the challenge and dedicated themselves to the event right from the word go.From airport pickups to hotel stay and food arrangements, everything was meticulously carried out by the team and the children were seamlessly transferred from the airport to the waiting buses for their onward trip to Agra. We ensured that there were adequate food packets and drinking water in each bus to ensure a comfortable journey.

Even though each tablers effort was big I cannot stop myself from thanking Anjum bhai for being one of the best planners that I have ever come across. It was his single handed effort that managed the entire transportation for the children from the airport to Agra and then back to Delhi. Not a single child had to wait for his bus nor did we have anyone missing their return flights…that impeccable planning.

If Delhi was Anjums domain then once we entered Agra it was completely Tr D.K Singh's territory. For a man with a heart as big as DK nothing is impossible. The way he opened up his entire college for the children to enjoy and stay overnight is magnificent. The arrangements that the tablers of Agra did for the event were mind

boggling, the carnival was a super hit with the kids and none of them wanted to leave and go have dinner!!!

Special thanks to the tablers and Area FOF co-ordinators who travelled along with the children and helped us to execute this program in a better fashion. Your dedication to serve the society is clear from the fact that you took out time and travelled the complete journey side by side with the children.

At the end of it all, even though the children were with us just for over 24 hours, the moment the last child walked into the departure hall a huge void formed in my heart. These kids and their happy smiles is one of the best things that I will cherish forever and look upon whenever I need to strengthen my morale. The simple act of facilitating the event for these underprivileged children has left a warm glow inside and I look forward to doing many more such events for Round Table India.

Greetings from Team Dandanakka !!!The journey for the Tables & Circles of Coimbatore started 18 months back, when we decide to bid for the NAGM 2017.

It was journey that brought us closer and made us experience something special, the best of both our organizations, Round Table India & Ladies Circle India – FRIENDSHIP & FELLOWSHIP. And yes, we did at every stage of the journey Adopt, Adapt & Improve.

thOn 20 September the D-Day had arrived with our guests landing in Coimbatore. We had planned to personally welcome all our visiting guests at the Airport & Railway station.

st21 September was the NEX meetings of Round Table India & Ladies Circle India. The Ladies had their theme as Chocolate and the entire hall was transformed into a Willy Wonka styled chocolate room. Thanks to our enthusiastic circlers who curated it all by hand.

The Welcome night is something that we take Pride at Coimbatore. House Parties-7 different House Parties themed in colors of VIBGYOR, each guest invited to a particular color house party.Day 1 of the AGM Session was themed RACE DAY. Thanks the Decoration team, the entire venue was decked up into Race Day- from Pitsops , Refueling stations , Chequered Flags , to Victory Lane. Even Lunch was themed to Racing with finger foods & cocktails laced with an international fusion of flavor and cuisine. Coimbatore being the birthplace of Indian Motorsport Racing, we did flag off to full throttle.The Ladies did have a theme of Light up the dark - We are the Sunshine, to match with the Presidents' Theme of the year. Day 1 at RT & LC was indeed full of action and spice, thanks to all the elections taking place in the AGM proceedings.

ndSep 22 evening was the grand gala - the Change of Banquet. The theme for the night was ELDORADO, it was a gold rush with all our lovely ladies & handsome men dressed in Black and Gold. We did start way behind schedule and it is something that we as Tablers & Cirlcers of India have to do a serious introspection – starting events on Time. Let's save that debate for a different article may be With the new Presidents taking over it was time for Celebration. Day 2 of the NAGM was Thiruvizha –

meaning Festival in Tamil. All men wearing traditional South Indian Veshti's & Women in classy South Indian Sarees – it was nothing short of a couture weekend.

We started the day felicitating the plethora of stalwarts of Round Table India & Ladies Circle India. We take this opportunity in recording our sincere gratitude to all the Past Presidents who accepted our invitation to honour us with their presence. We were indeed privileged to have our Past President Sq.Leg.Bob Chandran to come back to address an RTI stage after so many decades & present the awards to the budding young tablers of India.

After all the formal proceedings, the debates and the proposals – it was time to let loose. And party did we!!As we drove into the Western Ghats, enter the lush green golf course and we had Equinox – The informal night. The evening was all about Fire & Ice – from Food, Music, Dance, Drums, performances to a Culinary Delight - It was indeed a feast for the senses.

rdSep 23 2017, happened to be the day of Equinox – the day of the year, which has equal duration of sunlight & darkness. Representing the organizations of RT & LC, where we take pride in complementing each other...DANDANAKKA signed off on an Equinox night!

DANDANAKKA cannot be Explained …It can only be Experienced Thanks to each and everyone of you - Tablers & Circlers of India for being there! Your Presence is all that mattered …
