letter which will give advice on programme fees (tuition and

resource fees) insurance and date and methods of payment

4 To accept an Offer of Place applicants must sign one copy of

the Offer of Place and return it with full payment of all fees

5 When we receive your fees we will send you a receipt This must

6 Once your student visa is approved and we know when you

a contract for the period of the programme This means there isan obligation to pay the fees for one year or the length of the

Student Fee ProtectionThe New Zealand Government requires that all

New Zealand Quali1047297cations Authority (NZQA)

registered Private Training Establishments must

protect all student fees paid to them in advance

National Technology Institute (NTI) Concordia

Institute of Business (CIB) The College ofFuture Learning NZ (FutureCOL) and National

Institute of Education (NIE) are registered for

Fee Protect through The Public Trust which has

an unsecured capital guarantee from the New

Zealand Government For further information

This means that in the unlikely event that NTI

CIB FutureCOL or NIE is unable to complete

the programme in which you are enrolled (this

could be because of closure insolvency loss of

NZQA accreditation or programme withdrawal)

the remainder of your student fees (including

accommodation and living expenses if paid inadvance) will be protected You will have the

choice to receive any remaining fees back or have

them paid directly to an alternative Education

Education Act 1989 and amendments and

applies to international and domestic students

1 If a student withdraws (ie stops attending

class) from any NTI CIB FutureCOL or NIE

programme they must notify the Directors inwriting The date of withdrawal is the date

that NTI CIB FutureCOL or NIE receives written

noti1047297cation of the withdrawal The programme

start date is de1047297ned as the published start date

of the programme

2 a) Programmes thirteen weeks of or moreduration

i Withdrawal within the 1047297rst ten working days of

the programme `If the student withdraws from

the programme within the 1047297rst ten working days

they will receive a full refund of any payments

less a deduction of up to 25 for costs already

incurred

ii Withdrawal after the 1047297rst ten working days of

the programme No refunds are provided after

the 1047297rst ten working days of the programme

b) Programmes of 5 to 12 weeks duration

iii Withdrawal within the 1047297rst 5 days of the

programme If the student withdraws from the

programme within the 1047297rst 1047297ve days they will

receive a 75 refund of all fees paid by them

and NTI CIB FutureCOL or NIE will retain 25

of the funds paid

c) Programmes of less than 5 weeks

duration

iv Withdrawal within the 1047297rst 2 days of the


programme within the 1047297rst two days they will

an extension of their student visa a full refund of

their unused fees will be made

5 Refunds will be processed within 30 days of

withdrawal will be paid in New Zealand dollars

and will go to the person or organisation that

paid the fees not necessarily the student

6 An international student who obtains

permanent residency while studying on a

student visa will not receive a refund of fees

for the remainder of the academic year in which

residency is granted However they will be

treated as a New Zealand permanent resident

for the following years and will be subject to

domestic fees for the remainder of their study at

NTI CIB FutureCOL or NIE

7 If the student is expelled from the programme

it is unlikely that any refund will be made

8 These regulations may be varied in exceptionalcircumstances that are beyond the control of

the student (such as medical or compassionate

circumstances) Variation is at the discretion of

the Directors

9 Immigration New Zealand will be informed

of all information which affects the status of a

student permit or visa

students have volunteered at Diabetes NZ

Auckland located at Mount Eden offeringtheir services to help with administrative

called upon to assist at the societyrsquos events

helping to serve drinks and refreshments

Our students have found the engagements

meaningful as they spend time on a worthy

cause Furthermore through helping out

at events they are able to network and

communicate with a wide and diverse

Blue Dragon ChildrenrsquosFoundationBlue Dragon Childrenrsquos Foundation is

an Australian organisation working on

the streets of Vietnam to make a lasting

change They help kids get off the streets

into safe homes and back to school

Since Blue Dragon started in 2003 they

have helped over 1100 children to go to

school ndash including street kids children

with disabilities and traf1047297cked children
