What are we doing to help? Incorporating the Health and Hunger at Home Programs to educate the community on the growing issue of hunger as well as the importance of proper diet and exercise.

An International Crisis - A Local Concern

How are we going to do it? The Hilton Family of Hotels in San Diego is joining forces to help fi ght this growing problem. On Friday November 21, 2008, we are hosting an auction benefi t dinner at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, proceeds from the evening going to San Diego Food Bank and to Network for a Healthy California to help feed the hungry in San Diego.

A night of colorful culture and cuisine, the black-tie gala, which will benefi t San Diego Food Bank, is guaranteed to delight discerning and culturally-diverse palates with a selection of over 25 international tasting stations complete with rich décor and vibrant costumes representing each country and region.

Kickoff We will offi cially launch Hunger at Home at a Gala Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday, November 21st . We will be collecting items for auction from various groups around San Diego. A Silent Auction will be held during dinner. A Live Auction will take place after the dinner portion of the evening. The evening will feature a special guest speaker along with local sports and entertainment personalities.

Dinner Dinner will be provided by chefs from all participating Hilton Family Hotels. Each Chef will create one signature dish and one international selection representing a different country or region. Chefs will prepare “tasting” portions and present these dishes from themed stations that will also be representing the regions dress and decor.

Benefi t Chef’s will recoup each dish at cost through ticket sales, while all other profi ts will be donated to feed the hungry.

Event Itinerary 6:00 pm The evening will begin with a cocktail reception in the Ballroom Foyer whereguests will have an opportunity to preview the items for auction.

7:30 pm Doors will open to the Grande Ballroom. The ballroom layout will include several choice table setings to better accomodate all of our guests and provide both formal and informal seating. 8:00 pm While guests are visiting the International Cuisine Stations during dinner, they are also welcome to browse the silent auction items and start their bidding. 9:30 pm Live entertainment will begin at the conclusion of the live auction.

Upon arriving: Feel free to arrive in comfortable attire. We provide spa robes and sandals for your treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Your treatment will begin promptly at its designated time. If you arrive late for your service, your treatment will be modi�ed so the next guest will not be inconvenienced.
