NSSS upgrade – Pzr Level and Pressure, Chemical Volume Ctrl,
Reactor Ctrl (Average Temp., Overpower and Over temp. delta T loops),
Rod Insertion Limit (RIL), Steam Dump (SD), Rod Speed Ctrl, Safety
Injection and Accumulator (SA) loops.

COOPERATION WITH THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION
Eletronuclear developed a two year project with the EC to upgrade Safety
Related I&C of Angra 2.
The project aimed to define a strategy for the replacement of the existing
analogue I&C equipment currently used in Angra 2, mainly the systems
important to safety.
The project reached its conclusion in the beginning of 2013.
The results has been used to modernize Angra 2 safety related I&C.

“End Point Vision”. I&C digital upgrade for process control systems. Angra
unit 3 HFE requirements FSAR chapter 18;
• New technologies applied to digital I&C systems (Ex: Neural Network,
Fuzzy Inference Systems and Big Data) ;
• Tech Meeting topics to exchange informations – Control loops tuning for
non expected transients (Ex: 100% load rejection), System Health
Management, V&V of digital I&C upgrades and VDU based MCR design;
• Cyber Security – Managing external and internal security of digital
systems. Managing domain policies.
• Ageing management of electrical equipment and components (IGALL).
